I will admit I was starting to get bored with this series after the last book or two. It just was missing that spark that I had in the beginning. So when I found out this was going to be the last in the series I was happy. I am going to miss them but I am glad they are going out with a bang and not getting dragged out. I think Jeaniene did the right thing by ending it here. And she sure gave us a GREAT last book!! I loved every moment of it and once I started I couldn't put it down.

I must go into one of my favorite characters ever. IAN! I am soo glad he got so much book time. For him being a character that most people think of as an arrogant ass he really shows us his other side.  He was really there for Bones and Cat this whole book and was willing to sacrifice himself to help. I love him so much!

I was wondering what their last mission was going to be and at first I was like oh typical. But Jeaniene just kept throwing surprises at us. Cat and Bones while there isn't all that sexual tension there use to be there is still a steaming passion. Even if they aren't getting down and dirty as much as they did in the beginning, their love for each other and loyalty are just as good.

I am so happy with this ending. I think it was perfect. It was nothing I thought it was going to be. And while Cat and Bones sail away you know there will be more adventures for them to come. I am sure we will get some glimpses of them in other characters books and I am looking forward to it. Good Bye Night Huntress series, you were one of my first paranormal romance books and I can't wait to re-read you one day.

  1. Gah! I need to catch up. I can't believe I'm behind and it's been over a year since I last read something Cat & Bones. As sad as I am that this series is ending, I think that it's good Miss Frost didn't drag it out like some authors do with their series.

  4. I still have to read the last 4 or 5 books I think. I stopped after book 4 in the series. But not that it has ended, I will try to catch up. Glad you enjoyed it so much.

  5. Yay! Glad it went out on a high note. I love it when an author knows exactly when to bring the story arc to an end. Thanks for sharing!

  6. It's about time you posted a review girl! Didn't you just LOVE this one? I LOVED this one! The HEA was so unexpected! And, yes there's plenty of Ian time. He actually surprised me quite a bit in this book.
