Evan needs to finalize the details of an important merger. Problem is, the deal has come to a standstill because of the rival company’s drop-dead gorgeous CEO. Frustrated as he is with the woman, Evan can’t keep his mind off Brooke’s overt sexuality. He demands she sign the paperwork or the deal is dead. But Brooke has demands of her own. She’ll sign the contract…for one night of no-strings sex.

That’s a lusty merger Evan can’t possibly refuse.

Holy freaking hot sauce!!! Corporate Temptress is just like one big long awesomely delicious sex scene. Its 90% filled with one of the hottest nights of all times.

This book is all told from Evans POV. He is trying to merge his company with another but hes having some major issues.. He can't get the owner of the other company out of his head. He wants her like no other. And he gets the deal of a life time. Before she will agree to this deal she wants one night of her and him naked!! This is where all the fun begins.

Evan and Brooke steam up these pages. I am really glad I waited until my kids went to bed to start this book because well this is a book where you will not want to be interrupted.  This book is just HOT! Literally hot. I am sure while reading this book you will feel pretty warm and have a slight flush in your cheeks. Its one of those books I had to share some scenes with my husband in and even he was like holy hell. Its just that hot. So when you are reading this book just be prepared, have a plan and a back up plan because you are finished you are going to want some satisfaction. :)

If you are like me and sometimes need a book that is just more sex then talk then you have found it. Its a quick read but it will stay on your mind for a long time! Stacey Kennedy you are one naughty author.

Synopsis
Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…
WAIT FOR YOU is available now!

  • When you first started Firelight did you already know what other characters you were going to have featured in their own books?
Actually, no. lol. One of the things unpublished writers often hear is that you shouldn’t get your heart set on a series until you sell your book –less disappointment that way, you know? I took that to heart and, when I wrote Firelight, I simply concentrated on the story. I mean, I had both Daisy and Poppy married! There was absolutely no sequel bating in my mind.

However, once I sold it to Forever, and they wanted another book, I thought Ian and Daisy were perfect for each other, so I went back and added Ian into the epilogue.

  • How many books do you plan for The Darkest London series? And do you already have all the featured characters picked out?

That depends on how long Forever will let me play. :) I do have some characters in mind, and others pop up when I’m writing.

  • What is your favorite scene from Winterblaze?

Wow. That’s really hard. Lol. Because I really enjoyed the characters in this book, which made many of the scenes fun to write.

There are two that stick out because, maybe because they were so clear in my mind when I wrote them.

The first is when Poppy and Win grapple while discussing Poppy’s guarding of Win. Win thinks he has Poppy pinned, only to find she has him…er well in hand. (g)

The second is Win talking to Jones. Not very romantic, but I really loved Jones. I loved how Win and Jones played off each other, and I think in another life, and if Jones weren’t trying to destroy his life, Win would have liked him.

  • Your covers are amazing. Do you have a favorite?

Aren’t they? I’m so grateful for those covers. My favorite? That’s hard. I LOVE the colors and feel of Winterblaze. I probably shouldn’t subject this imagery on the public, but it reminds me of those Peppermint Paddy commercials, because I get all shivery when I look at it. Lol. But I think that, in regards to the entire package, my favorite is Moonglow. I love the green, and Daisy carrying the lantern is just so evocative. I see that cover and want to yell, “Run! You’re in danger, girl!” lol.

  • Do you have a favorite character from your books? If so which one? Or are you like me and its super hard to pick?

It’s hard to pick. Mainly because you get so close to the ones you are writing at the time that they are your favorite. For me, writing a book is a bit like character acting. You have to sink into your characters and see the world from their eyes and feel what they feel. There hasn’t been a character that I didn’t like –or I’d cull them from the manuscript. Even the secondary characters and the villains are a joy to write.

I can tell you that Ian and Daisy were the easiest to write because we all share the same sense of humor. I have a great sentimentality for Archer because I identified a lot with him. And because I was the eldest sibling in my house, I also identify with Poppy and her need to watch over everyone. Right now, however, I’m having much love for Jack Talent –loyal, angry, socially awkward, wounded bird that he is. :)

 Love or life.
Henry or their child.
The end of her family or the end of the world.
Kate must choose.

During nine months of captivity, Kate Winters has survived a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and a pregnancy she never asked for. Now the Queen of the Gods wants her unborn child, and Kate can't stop her--until Cronus offers a deal.

In exchange for her loyalty and devotion, the King of the Titans will spare humanity and let Kate keep her child. Yet even if Kate agrees, he'll destroy Henry, her mother and the rest of the council. And if she refuses, Cronus will tear the world apart until every last god and mortal is dead.

With the fate of everyone she loves resting on her shoulders, Kate must do the impossible: find a way to defeat the most powerful being in existence, even if it costs her everything.

Even if it costs her eternity

What an amazing conclusion to an awesome series. Its kind of bittersweet because I just want more. But I am happy at how it ended. It was touch and go there for a while and this book totally pulled us through an emotional ringer.

Kate and Henry have never had it easy. Never ever ever. But this final battle will be the worst of them all. Because now there is an innocent baby hanging in the balance and its their baby. Poor Kate had her baby snatched away as soon as he is born. And she has to fight so hard to try and get her family back. And even though sometimes it seemed she might give up she never did. But not all her choices where good ones. She has good intentions but  some seemed to cause more harm then good.

This book will seriously have you on the edge of your seat. You never know what is going to happen. I felt so bad for Kate most of this book. All she wants is her baby back but she is being played over and over again. Its hard to watch. And during the final show down not everyone makes it out alive. It was heartbreaking.

I loved this book and gobbled it up as fast as I could. This series is one of my favorites in the greek mythology theme. Its just a great read. I am sad to see it go but I sure enjoyed the ride.

Cover Reveal Imitation by Heather Hildenbrand

Monday, February 25, 2013

Everyone is exactly like me.  There is no one like me.  The rough fabric of my cotton nightgown chafes so I lie very still. They say my discomfort comes from being built like one accustomed to niceties. How is that fair when I myself have never experienced anything but copies of the real thing?  My entire life is an imitation.  I am an Imitation.  I’ve been here five years. Training. Preparing. Waiting. And now I have a letter. My assignment has begun.  I am a prisoner. I am not Raven Rogen. I am here to die.

Weddings are hell…

After a month of planning not one, but two, demonic weddings, all Faith Bettincourt—the youngest Crown Princess of Hell—wants is to spend some quality time with her angelic boyfriend, Matt. But when a ghost from Matt’s past walks through Faith’s apartment door, her preoccupation with the weddings from Hell is all that’s keeping her from turning his ex, in all her devious angelic glory, into a down throw pillow.

Which is about when Matt’s zealous mother declares war on Faith’s family.

Now Faith will stop at nothing to stop the craziness and make sure the impending nuptials go off without a hitch. All she’s got to do is rescue one of the grooms and go up against an army of so-called do-gooders, and everything will go back to normal. Or as normal as it can be where the Devil's spawn is concerned. With any luck, she might just be able to resuscitate her love life while she's at it.

I was really looking forward to this book in the series. I really enjoyed the first book. Well, this book drove me crazy. I actually liked the book and the story was something that I really felt involved with. I wanted to know what happened next.

But this book was seriously, "Attack of the Crazy Exes" if that was a cheesy horror film from the 80's. Matt's ex, Brenda shows up on Faith's doorstep almost immediately. She's looking for Matt to take care of her because she's run away from the compound that his mother runs. So apparently it's now his responsibility to be her caretaker because she can't think of anyone else to turn to? And Faith goes along with it! It becomes obvious pretty quickly that Brenda is there to really try to win Matt back. Faith knows it but is being a "good girlfriend" by letting her stay around. I wanted to punch Brenda the entire book. Plus, Faith's ex-fiance shows up. Which brings a whole bunch of other crazy business around.

Faith's parents and her brother and best friend are all getting married. So there is wedding planning madness going on. Things reach a boiling point when Tolliver goes missing. Turns out Matt's mom Valerie, sends Brenda to Matt on a mission to save him from the wicked ways of Faith. And when things don't go the way they want, they KIDNAP Tolliver. Matt's mom is off her rocker, seriously. And you think things would just end there but no, they get even crazier.

I really did like this book. The stuff with Brenda and Dan (Faith's ex) drove me crazy though. Mainly because they were interfering and I like Matt and Faith together and well. Of course all the other characters in this book were just as crazy and fun as the first book. There were a lot of really funny moments and there were a lot of moments where I really just wanted Faith to deck Brenda and Matt's mom. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I really need to know what happens next in Faith's crazy life.

I'm on trial for my life. Falsely accused of infecting my human ex-boyfriend--and killing him to cover up the crime. Infecting a human is one of three capital offenses recognized by the Pride--along with murder and disclosure of our existence to a human.I'm two for three. A goner.

Now we've discovered a rogue stray terrorizing the mountainside, hunting a wild teenage tabbycat. It's up to us to find and stop him before a human discovers us. With my lover Marc's help, I "think" I can protect the vulnerable girl from both the ambitious rogue and the scheming of the territorial council.

"If" I survive my own trial.

Faythe is on trial with the Tribunal and things aren't going smoothly for her. Not that ever really do. Faythe seems to get herself into a lot trouble. Mainly by not being able to keep her mouth and temper in check. Anyhow, she's being accused of infecting her exboyfriend and turning him into a werecat and then killing him to cover up what she did. But we know that isn't the case. She was simply defending herself while he was attacking her and she won. There are a couple of Alpha's on the Tribunal who are out to prove that Faythe is guilty though. But there are underlying currents there that have nothing to do with Faythe.

While the trial is being held in a free territory they run into a group of strays who are killing people. So obviously, they have to take care of them so that the werecat population isn't outed to the humans. While rounding up the strays they run into some additional problems. Not only are they killing humans, some of them are man eaters, and also there is a young tabby running around who doesn't seem to belong anywhere or to anyone.

This book was a lot different from the first two. Faythe has basically accepted her role in the Pride and she really wants to help figure out what's going on. However, since she's on trial for murder there really isn't too much that she's able to do. Faythe still has a major attitude problem. And she's so back and forth with Marc it makes me want to scream bloody murder. Not only that but she's on trial for freaking murder and she just acts so flippant about the whole thing it drives me nuts. Like, I know she's innocent of intentionally murdering anyone but this crap is serious. Calvin Malone is one of the dudes on the Tribunal and he's a complete jackass.

I am still really liking this series. I can't wait to see where Faythe ends up. Plus some of the other characters in the books have interesting story lines as well that I really want to see play out.

The Amber Feature: Discussing Skinwalker

Saturday, February 23, 2013

We loved this feature so much, we brought it back! But better! So what we're doing is having an informal (obviously) joint discussion/interview/review with books that we read around the same time. This is what we're here for, right? To talk books! So let's get talking..

Today's Book Is:

Skinwalker by Faythe Hunter

Amber I's turn to ask some questions..

Amber I: If I didn't already read this book would you recommend it to me?
-You know, I really would. I thought it was interesting and I am planning on reading on in the series. Let's just be honest here though, you're the one that recommends me books..not the other way around.

Amber I: I know if I didn't hear such awesome things about this series, I might have quit it in the beginning did you feel that way? I just found it a bit slow or hard to get into in the beginning.
- I didn't really hear anything from anyone about this book, so I think I would have. I didn't really think it was that slow, I think she just had a lot of investigating and what not to do.

Amber I: How do you like how her beast is connected to her?
- I think it's really weird but different which I like. When we find out how it happened, I was kinda shocked. I didn't see that coming and I wonder how that's going to affect their relationship in the future.

Amber I: As far as love interest goes do you have any one in particular for Jane?
- Bruiser! I really liked him. I thought he was funny, had a good personality, and for some reason I think he's super hot.

Amber I: Do you plan on continuing the series?
- Definitely! They kind of left us with a teaser at the end of this book and I definitely want to know what happens next.

Amber I: What did you rate this book and why ?
- I gave it 4 stars. I really liked this book, it was interesting and funny. It kept me guessing and I really love Jane's attitude and bad ass persona. I want to know what happens next. There were some iffy parts in the beginning otherwise it would have probably been a 5.

Amber R's turn to ask some questions..

Amber R: Do you see Jane getting with any of the mens in this first book?
-I really liked Bruiser. And I must say some times I really liked Leo too. He had that sexy vampire vibe going on. My least favorite was Rick. I was just not feeling him.

Amber R: What do you think about the little job offer Jane got at the end of the book?
- I loved the ending because it really opens this series up to a whole bunch of awesomeness!

Amber R: When did you start getting into the book? Was there a turning point where you were like, this book is kinda awesome?
- I am not sure when I started getting into this book but I do know that is was a little slow for me in the beginning. Maybe it was once Leo and Bruiser where looking more like an actual possible romance might happen with Jane. You know me, if I scent some romance coming on I am all on that.

Amber R: What did you think of the relationship between Beast and Jane? Did you think it was odd how they are two separate entities?
-I thought it was really odd. I have seen other shifters talk about their beast separately but the way Jane and her beast are separate is just completely different.  I really liked that. Plus when she is having those inner monologues there really is someone there to answer her back. It take me a little bit to come around to the way her beasts talks. But I am good with it now.

Amber R: What is your opinion on the rogue vamp terrorizing the town? He's gross, right?
- You know I was pretty sure when we found out who the rogue was it was going to be someone I suspected. Oh I had a few suspicions but I am pleasantly surprised at who it turned out to be. And yes the rogue is gross. I really loved how this book portrayed that aspect of the vampire life too.

Amber R: How do you feel about all the nicknames she gave everyone? I personally thought it was funny.. but I'm an easy laugh.
-Hey you know me with nicknames, I love them. Sometimes when she would actually use their real name I would get confused. I like the nicknames and I see why she uses them.

Gloriana St. Claire-curvy, stylish, and undead-is spending New Year's Eve alone. And it's all because her boyfriend, Jeremy Blade, is traipsing off to parts unknown to rescue his supposed daughter from the clutches of "dangerous radicals." But just as Glory settles in for the evening, a phone call from the bodyguard of a drunk, newly-undead rock star could end her year on a crazy note.

It's been so long since I read the last book before this in the series, so I was kinda nervous starting it. I was afraid I wouldn't remember what was going on or I would change my mind. Luckily that wasn't the case! Glory is back and I absolutely love her still! In this book she's mentoring the illustrious Israel Caine on being a vampire. Which is no hardship on Glory, or Ray. There is some major chemistry between the two. Now, Jerry is still around. He's just around in Europe, chasing down his possible daughter. Even without Jerry around, Glory and Ray find themselves in heaps of trouble when a siren catches them out on the lake and basically forces them to do her bidding. Glory and Ray are pretending to be dating because the paparazzi are hounding them. So they are basically trying to cover their vampire tracks while being on the crazy mission that the siren is forcing them to do.

I may have jumped guys in this book. I never usually do. But Ray seriously convinced me. And Jerry wasn't really around. I like that Ray is so sweet and caring towards Glory, you can tell that he really cares about her and he really wants best for her. Plus he's not pushy and doesn't try to force her to do things that she doesn't want to do. Jerry is really heavy handed with her and it really ticks me off. So I was really digging Ray being sweet to her.

I just really enjoy this series. I'm not going to let it be so far in between this book and the next. I absolutely adore Glory and all the other characters in this book. Valdez, her bodyguard, is the best. There is a lot of humor and action and some really super hot sexcapades in this book. So you're really getting a little bit of everything you'd really want all rolled up into one awesome package.

Sons of Navarus Blog Tour

Thursday, February 21, 2013
Today we have a Guest Post with Gabrielle Bisset talking about her Vampire Series:

Thanks to Amber and Amber here at Awesomesauce Books for having me here today to talk about my PNR/UF vampire series, Sons of Navarus. With the release of the 4th book in the series, Blood Prophecy, coming this spring, the Sons are hitting the blogs to show what they’re all about.

If you haven’t read the Sons series yet, you’re in for action, hot romance, and a storyline that will have you waiting on the edge of your seat for the next book. Well, that’s what the fans say anyway. (I’m a little more humble than to say that.) But what they say is true, I have to admit.

The series involves a civil war, eight gorgeous Alpha males, and love stories on top of it all. Here’s the series blurb for a taste of it all:

Eight vampire warriors descended from the gods and chosen to defend their world against the Archon takeover, each dedicated to the war they must win. But there's another side to these Sons of Navarus—one that only the women they love know. Behind the strength they need to defeat their enemies lies a passion different in each one of the Sons. Their war will take them around the world and even involve the gods themselves, but they must unlock the secrets of the Prophecy of Idolas to defeat the Archons or perish in trying for none of their kind can be safe if the Archons win this battle.

The series begins with Blood Avenged, which is Vasilije’s story. The illegitimate son of a Romanian prince, Vasilije is decadent, sensual, and sexy as hell. The tagline for his book says it all: “I am everything you desire. I am vampire.”

Then there’s the second book, Blood Betrayed, which is Saint’s story. Saint is actually the nickname given to Declan because he refuses to sleep with vampires, instead only spending his time in the human world. Saint is the quintessential tortured hero, trying to live down a past that still haunts him. His tagline is perfect for him: “I am everything forbidden. I am vampire.”

Third in the series is Blood Spirit, Terek’s story. Terek was a monk in his human life before he was made vampire by a Muslim trader, so he’s very spiritual. But Terek is also blessed with telepathy, the ability to read other’s minds, so he’s incredibly seductive. His tagline reflects him to a T: “I am everything you seek. I am vampire.”

And coming this spring is the fourth book in the series, Blood Prophecy. This is the story of Ramiel, a Visigoth barbarian turned vampire and one of the two Sons of Navarus responsible for decoding the Prophecy of Idolas. He and Thane, the other Son charged with figuring out the prophecy, must travel to find the key that will unlock the secrets of the prophecy and help them defeat the Archons.

It’s going to be an exciting ride to the end of the series, so don’t miss it! Thanks again to the wonderful ladies of Awesomesauce Books for having me here today.
