One of the easiest ways I know if I love a book or not is how fast I read it. And I read this one pretty fast. Some books feel like a labor of love, it takes a lot of focus and concentration to finish them. However this book was the easiest, funniest book I've read recently.

Sabina has left California for the east coast, NYC specifically. She's going to meet her identical twin sister that she just found out existed. And she's leaving the vamps for the mage world. However, things aren't going smoothly. Not that Sabina expected them too. After dealing with her abusive grandmother her entire life and being ultimately betrayed by her, Sabina finds it hard to trust anyone or anything. Transitioning from vampire life to mage like is crazy hard for her. Meeting her sister, who is the complete opposite of her, is not any easier.

Although things do definitely get easier and then harder, Sabina doesn't play by anyone's rules but her own. Living her entire life under her grandmothers thumb and now the mage council is trying to control her as well. There are tons of rules and some people aren't so welcoming. Not too mention she thought Adam would be there to help her cope with all the changes but the council is sending him on a mission.

Sabina is awesome. I love this story line so far and I can't wait to see where things go from here. We can see things already building up just over 2 books, so you know things are just going to get more intense. I wonder how these characters are going to grow and develop. I'm all in with this series and I can't wait to find out what happens next.
