The war is looming on the horizon and the one person who can stop it from happening is at boarding school. Yeah, Lorelei was shipped off to Maine for school until things could get figured out. She thought that if she went that she could keep all of her friends and family in New Mexico safe. That doesn't mean that she's going to be safe. Because even though she has a new name someone still knows who she is and they're threatening her life. Her grandparents thought letting her go would keep her safe. But there comes a time where she has to face reality and with her visions coming faster and stronger that the war is going to be here any second, she decides to face reality and heads back home.

I have to admit I didn't really understand the last part of the book when I read it the first time. I finally realized what was happening about a fourth of the way through the last 70% but I didn't feel like I had a clear picture so I went back and read it again. Honestly, I really loved this book. There were several parts that made me laugh so hard. Through the end of the book I was tearing up. I just thought it was a really good ending to this series. There are so many things that were good. Other than that little bit of confusion, it was great. And once you get it, it's honestly really cool I think.

I love Darynda Jones and I loved seeing what she did with this book. If you haven't checked out this series yet for whatever reason, you definitely should. It's a great book and a great series.

  2. Nice review Amber, I am still not sure what my feelings are about the ending, but it sure was like the prophecy foretold it. It is original, very well written and yes, I will reread this series someday.
