A pretty good start to a new series. I overall liked the world and the story. I thought the characters where interesting. I think this series has a lot of potential to be awesome but there where a few things that bugged me.
We know right away that Hedi loves Bridge. She has loved him since she was little even if she doesn't want to. But when he first comes back into her life, he thinks she is a child. And he seems very irritated with her. It just seemed odd that one minute he wanted to get as far away from her as possible then the next he is tearing her clothes off and being all territorial. I know some couples start off bickering but you can see that chemistry, I just didn't see his side of it until the end. Also sometimes I felt a little lost. That maybe some things just weren't explained or that we jumped too much. It just seemed to take me a bit longer to read then normal too. I am not sure why that is but some parts just weren't grabbing me.
But I did enjoy it. I will definitely be reading the next book because I want to see how it goes. I think this series has a great plot and I want to see more of the world especially the wolves. Hedi is really unique too being half Fae and half Were and I want to see if she lets more of her Were out. I like a lot of the unique things the author has done with the Fae world too, Hedi has this unique trinket that is kind of alive, fae tears are like gems, the mystwalking, touching humans burns them so they can't dilute the Fae blood. See lots of neat twists to the Fae world..
The ending leaves us off on a cliffhanger and I will be excited to see what happens next.
