I really can't get over how much I love this series. The first two books were slam dunks for me and this one was no different. It's been a few months after the last book and Griffin, Emily, Sam, Finley, and Jasper are all back in England. However there has been some trouble since they've come back. Griffin hasn't really been himself and he's literally withering away in front of their eyes and no one, not even Finley, can break through the barriers that he's put up.

Jack Dandy shows up at the house with some really interesting information. He was involved in a situation where there was a very human like automaton delivered to the docks. For what purpose, is unknown but since Griffin and the crew are always in the middle of these types of things, he figured he could pass along the information. Finley and Emily go investigate after some earnest complaints from the guys about them going alone. While nothing happens at the time, things quickly escalate from there. Emily is kidnapped by the group of automatons for none other than the Machinist. Even though he's not technically alive, there is definitely some creepy business going on. Obviously everyone is on the hunt to save Emily.

I love seeing the progression of all these characters. Seriously, it's awesome. This story is so well developed and intricate. It really feels like you're in the book and involved with the characters. Kady Cross literally puts you in the story, you feel like you're right in the middle of everything. I loved seeing Griffin and Finley work things out and grow together and grow individually as well. You really get the idea that they're both really trying and they're both such good people. Same really goes for Em and Same too. They really come together and it's just so sweet to see happen.

I'm in love with these books and I can not wait for the next book in this amazing series. Yes, I realize that this one just came out but I really just need more. If you guys haven't read this series yet, you definitely need too.. It's absolutely amazing.
