So I know this is an older series so this should mean that I'm not giving away too much, right? Oh my god. Kisten and Rachel.. and I don't know if I can say anything else about that. This alone gives this book five stars. I'm really chiding myself over not liking the first book that much. But I'm so glad that I continued on in this series. It's easily becoming one of my favorites.

Rachel took down Piscary in the last book and now we're dealing with the aftermath. Ivy is roped into being his scion, even though she's really highly against it. She's fighting him but Piscary isn't one that is easily ignored, especially when he's in her head all the time. And yes that means exactly what it sounds like. Rachel is being scouted by Trent still and he wants her working for him pretty bad. Rachel still has Al searching for her, she manages to horribly offend Jenks, Nick is terrified of her because she's so strong, not too mention Kisten is all over her, a rock star needs her help, and a werewolf insurance adjuster is hunting her down. Rachel has her plate full plus two extra plates on the back burner.

Nick is out of the picture in this book and Kisten is in. And honestly I was super happy when this happened. I liked Nick but there was so much tension between Rachel and Kisten. And when Kisten and her finally start things up they are on fire. There is a lot going on in this book though. Al is determined to make Rachel his familiar and she is determined to not let that happen. One of Trent's security comes to Rachel to have her be an escort for Trent during a business meeting he has with his main business opposition. Rachel was literally the end of the line choice.

There is so much that goes on in these books. It's hard to really touch base with anything for too long before it becomes a 4 page book report rather than a review. Even though there is a lot of different things going on in this book the flow and the story is so easy to follow and so fast paced. Once you start reading the book is over in the blink of an eye. Like I said this is becoming one of my absolute favorite series. I need to read more and I need to read it now.

    1. I'm reading a lot of series that have been out for a while so I'm switching between them. And I think it's fun to remind people who have already read them of how awesome they are and also bring them as new series to people who haven't read them yet. My TBR list is never ending. ;)
