Introduce Yourself to our readers.
Hi, I'm Cynthia Hand, author of the New York Times bestselling UNEARTHLY series with HarperTeen. I love to write, of course, but I am also a big video game nerd, the mother of two small kiddos, and that girl who tries to walk and read at the same time. I crash into things occasionally.

Tell us a little about your books?
The UNEARTHLY series is about 16 year old Clara Gardner, who is part angel. Her mother has told her that all the part-angel people have a purpose on this earth that they are sent to fulfill, and when she is old enough, she will receive a vision of what her purpose is. Unearthly starts with Clara having a vision of a boy standing in front of a forest fire, who she assumes that she has to save as her purpose on earth. She starts to piece together the clues from her vision, whichlead her (and her mom and unenthuiastic younger brother) to move from California to a smal town in Wyoming. That's where she meets the mysterious boy from her vision and tries to understand what her relationship with him should be, before the fire comes.

Is this your first RT convention?
No, I went to RT last year, and it was so much fun I immediately signed on to do it again.

What are you most looking forward to at RT?
Getting to hang out with so many amazing people, fans and fellow authors and aspiring writers! Most of a writer's life is spent alone in front of a keyboard, so I always jump at the opportunity to be social!

If you've been to one before any tips for us newbies?
Try to go to as many things as you can, which means you'll have to plan out your day ahead of time.

Where can we find you at RT? Are you on any panels going to any parties etc.
I'm doing a lot, starting with a panel I'm doing on Wednesday at 1:15-2:15 with Stephanie Perkins, Tara Hudson, Gayle Forman, and Jospehine Angelini called "A Kiss Is Never Just A Kiss." I will be around all week popping in here and there, and you can find me signing books at YA alley on Saturday (11-2), doing a round of Auhtor Speed Dating on Satuday (2:30-3:30) and haning with all the other YA authors and teens at the Teen Day Party (Saturday 6:15-8pm). Sautday's going to be a busy day.

Authors your most excited about meeting?
Gayle Forman! I love her books! I am also excited to get to know Stephanie Perkins a little bit better. I adore Anna and the French Kiss (and Lola and the Boy Next Door)
Since this event is for paranormal authors, can you tell us more about the paranormal in your book?
My books are about part-angels (who I call angel-bloods), who have wings that they can summon to fly, powers of healing and super strength, the ability to speak and understand any language on earth, and some very cool weapons that they shape out of a particular light they call glory.

Tell us a little about your newest book?
My latest book is the third anf final novel in my trilogy, called BOUNDLESS. It's where all the crazy stuff that's been building up over three books finally all comes together.

What inspired you to write in the paranormal genre?
I kind of fell into it by accident, but I've never looked back.

How are you traveling to RT? Where are you coming from? Any interesting hiccups?
I'm coming in by plane but afterwards I'm planning to rent a car and drive to Nebraska, which is the setting for my newest project. Research trip!

What authors do you hope have tables beside you at the Giant Book Fair?
Carrie Ryan! I am a huge Carrie Ryan fan girl. Last year I had her sign a copy of all her books.

Who are you bunking with?
My writing bestie the fabulous Brodi Ashton.

Book Three of the New York Times bestselling UNEARTHLY Trilogy

The past few years held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner ever could have anticipated. Yet through the dizzying high of first love to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she could no longer deny was that she was never meant to have a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seemed like the best option, so she’s headed back to California—and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.

As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.

In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must choose her fate once and for all.
