The Amber Feature: Discussing Demon Kissed

Saturday, March 2, 2013

We loved this feature so much, we brought it back! But better! So what we're doing is having an informal (obviously) joint discussion/interview/review with books that we read around the same time. This is what we're here for, right? To talk books! So let's get talking..

Today's book is:

Amber R. is going to start out this one.....

AR: Would you recommend this book to other bloggers and readers?
AI: I would. I don't know if it would be a book I would be obsessing over or even give it an Amber Guarantee (I mean only a few get those anyways) but I would recommend it. I don't get too many free reads and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this book. And I will be continuing the series. So yes I would recommend it.

AR: Without giving anything away, what was your least favorite part of this book? Most favorite?
AI: Some things I guess bothered me where the typicalness of it. An ordinary girl learns she is not normal and all of a sudden is bad ass. Everyone is out to get her and of course that "friend" loves her. So while its not anything too big I would say that is my least favorite. My favorite is it just being really unique. I love the idea about the demon kiss and all the different characters. I like how even though its YA it doesn't have a huge YA feel.

AR: What did you rate this book?
AI: I am giving it 4 stars. I really enjoyed it and want to read more from this series.

AR: This story was pretty unique, did you have a hard time following what was going on?
AI: No. I don't think I did. I think the way the author set everything up it was easy enough to follow.

AR: Would you read any other books in this series?
AI: Yes I plan on continuing the series. You know I now have a crush on the bad boy turned kinda good but needs saving. Come on now!

AI: I know you really weren't into this book, tell us a little of why that is?
AR: I just thought it was too typical. I think that the way it was written was kinda all over the place. I got a headache from rolling my eyes so much.

AI: Who do you like more Eric or Collin?
AR: Collin! Duh. I love me a good bad boy. And he was a great character.

AI: What did you think about the prophecy?
AR: I thought the way it ended up playing out was pretty interesting actually. Thinking back on it, this book wasn't nearly as bad as I initially thought. But I think that the main girl annoyed me a lot. This has nothing to do with this question. Lol

AI: What did you rate this book?
AR: I'm going to give it 3 1/2 stars. It wasn't really great but it was above average.

AI: Are you planning to continue the series?
AR: I didn't think I would but I have changed my mind. I don't think I'm going to be waiting on edge but I'll definitely continue on.

AI: If you could compare this book to another YA book what book would that be?
AR: Hm. This is a great question and I can't think of anything. Lol. Can you think of anything?
AI: well crap, I know I did when I was reading it but that was over a week ago. Now I can't think of one. I will keep thinking.
