Tracking the Tempest begins four months–and one eyebrow sacrificed to magical training–after the close of Tempest Rising. During that time, Jane’s been busy honing her supernatural powers and enjoying her newfound sense of confidence. Rockabill may not yet be heaven, but she’s realized it’s home. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and Ryu - Jane's bloodsucking boyfriend - can't let a major holiday go by without getting all gratuitous. An overwhelming dose of boyfriend interference and a last-minute ticket to Boston later, and Jane's life is thrown off course.
But Ryu’s best laid plans inevitably create more upheaval than even he can anticipate, and Jane winds up embroiled in an investigation involving a spree of gruesome killings committed by a being of tremendous power . . .

. . . who, much to Jane’s surprise, happens to be another halfling.

I am so in love with these books. Yes I am only on book 2 but I am dying to get my hands on the 3rd book and luckily for me my library has it so I won't be waiting too long. .

Jane is an awesome character. The way she reacts to these situations is so believable and she is just so damn funny. Her life has really just took on a whole lot of crazy lately. Just months after she barely escaped for her life she is now facing a new problem. A psycho, fire boy who wants to make crazy babies with her. And to keep her friends and family safe she heads to Boston with her vampire boyfriend where we meet a bunch of new side characters that I love. And some new bad guys that I don't!

And while I think Ryu her vampy boyfriend is hot and gives her great and plenty of orgasms hes just not the guy for me. It may have to do something with that to feed when Jane is not around he has to have sex with other girls. And that is not okay with me. But I think even if that wasn't the case, this crazy dog man has just wormed his way into my heart and I hope he worms his way into Jane's heart and pants!! Those little moments with Anyan are my favorite. And I am dying to know what question he was going to ask her before they where so rudely interrupted.

This is just an awesome series. It has a little of everything in it. The story line is great and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The sex is hot. The characters are funny and awesome. The world building us unique and I love exploring it!! Another great recommendation from Jennifer at The Book Nympho!

    1. I've been stalking your goodreads to find books to read. Lol. So you pimp the books to her and she pimps the books to me.

  2. I am excited. I already ordered the 5th book from my library. I am going to cave probably and read the 4th book next week. I had to do an inter-library loan for the 5th book and I thought it would take more time to get here. But I was wrong.

  3. You need to guest in our library and tell them to get cool books like these instead of those Puritan novels hey cant seem to get enough of. Nothing wrong with that but some people (like me) are fond of reading the devil's work (fantasy). I will go to hell with Harry Potter

  4. Haha. I just requested a ton of books for my library. But most libraries now share with other libraries. Like my library shares with like 20 different libraries. You should ask them about it.

My library has amish romances. Lol so I am bringing in some devil's work (I love that phrase)

    1. My grandparents used to live in a town that had a heavy population of Amish people. This one time we were at the store and this Amish dude and his son were there. The son kept staring at me and the son told him not to look at me because I was doing the devil's work or something like that. Fun story of the day.
