In Stolen, on a mission for her own elite pack, she is lured into the net of ruthless Internet billionaire Tyrone Winsloe, who has funded a bogus scientific investigation of the "other races" and their supernatural powers. Kidnapped and studied in his underground lab deep in the Maine woods, these paranormals - witches, vampires, shamans, werewolves - are then released and hunted to the death in a real-world video game. But when Winsloe captures Elena, he finally meets his match.
Elena is a great character. I just love her so much. I started this series a while ago and for some reason just got to book 2 in this series. But I seriously love Elena. I like that she doesn't just go with whatever Clay wants because they're together and he's very dominant. She's an asset to the pack and basically is Jeremy's right hand man. I like that above all these strong, dominant, alpha males she definitely takes up her own space.
In this book she ends up getting herself kidnapped. She ends up being involved by happenstance. Elena is out researching supernatural news for Jeremy and meets a couple of witches. The witches introduce Elena to the supernatural world, which apparently she didn't know existed. I had a hard time swallowing that actually. Elena is a friggen werewolf. Why was it so hard for her to accept that there were other supernatural beings? Anyhow, by meeting up with these witches she finds out about this compound that is doing scientific experiments on supernatural beings. She ends up being one of their test subjects.
This book was action packed and just such a good story. Clay was there and he was just as impulsive and awesome as ever. He loves Elena so much and you can see it. I loved the new characters that were introduced and the story for this book. I can't wait until I can start on the next book in this series and seeing what comes next.
