Your strength in heart and hand will fall. . . .
Ellie knows that the darkest moments are still to come, and she has everything to fight for:

She must fight for Will.
The demonic have resorted to their cruelest weapons to put Will in mortal danger, and Ellie makes an unlikely alliance to save him and to stop Lilith and Sammael, who seek to drown the world in blood and tear a hole into Heaven.

She must fight for humanity.
As the armies of Hell rise and gather for the looming End of Days, Ellie and her band of allies travel to the world’s darkest and most ancient regions in her quest to come into her full glory as the archangel Gabriel.

And Ellie must save herself.
Her humanity withers beneath the weight of her cold archangel power, but Ellie must hold tight to who she is and who she loves as she prepares for the ultimate battle for Heaven and Earth.

In this final installment in the Angelfire trilogy, Courtney Allison Moulton brings her dark world of epic battles and blistering romance to a blazing bright conclusion

What a great ending to this series. When I first started this series I will admit I wasn't in love well I wasn't in really like either. But I knew the book had potential and I wanted to finish the series. By book 2 it was so much better and by the end of book 3 I can really say I loved this series. I am so glad I didn't pass this one up.

What I liked:
  • Ellie seems to have grown so much since Angelfire. She is really majorly kicking some ass!
  • Her and Will do something majorly epic that I am sure will have fans jumping for joy
  • So many twists and amazing surprises
  • Answers to all my questions and even some I didn't have
  • Loose ends tied up
  • An epic battle
  • Even with a possible love triangle hanging there, it just did not happen!
  • I loved Cadan
  • Discovering some major awesomeness from Ellies past. And some just cool glimpses
  • Learning more about the Angels
  • Road trip! We go out about and discover the world
  • Meet new and interesting characters
  • The battles where deadly and that means not everyone always makes it out
  • The Ending! So freaking awesome!

My tiny complaints are:
Its been a year since I read the last book and I kind of forgot somethings. Seriously I forgot a lot. I have no idea why. It took me a while to catch up and some things I just decided I was not going to remember and went with the flow. I think if I had read the other two books right before this I might have gave it 5 stars. This is my own problem though and should in no way effect how other readers view the book. It might have even helped had I just refreshed myself in the world by reading my old reviews or going to the authors website. And this is the only complaint I have about this book. So you see not a big deal. But I suggest if you are like me (have a bad memory) and read Wings on the Wicked a while ago to go refresh yourself a little bit. It would make the book that much more better!

Shadows in Silence just kicked major ass and was taking names! Seriously just an awesome ending to this series. The more I am thinking about it the more I am loving it. Angelfire fans are going to be blown away and I think readers who are not in love but want to see how the book is going to end will love it too! The plot is just so fulfilling its full of hope, heart ache and an amazing story. From the first page to the last page you will be on the edge of your seat.

  1. Ooohhh a bulleted review. I love bulleted reviews!

I appreciate it when the author injects some refreshers when the new book in the series comes out especially as the release dates are at least 10 months apart.

    1. I think writing reviews like this is so much easier. you'll probably see a lot more of them from me.

Sometimes back info is annoying when I read books close together but I understand it since most books were released further apart.
