Plagued by a war between magic and technology, Atlanta has never been so deadly. Good thing Kate Daniels is on the job.

Kate Daniels may have quit the Order of Merciful Aid, but she’s still knee-deep in paranormal problems. Or she would be if she could get someone to hire her. Starting her own business has been more challenging than she thought it would be—now that the Order is disparaging her good name, and many potential clients are afraid of getting on the bad side of the Beast Lord, who just happens to be Kate’s mate.

So when Atlanta’s premier Master of the Dead calls to ask for help with a vampire on the loose, Kate leaps at the chance of some paying work. Turns out this is not an isolated incident, and Kate needs to get to the bottom of it—fast, or the city and everyone dear to her might pay the ultimate price .

I went into the 5th book thinking it was the last book in the series, and its NOT! Oh man that makes me so much more excited. I have not been author stalking like I should have or else I would know this.

This series is addicting. When I started it in November I was thinking I would read one book a month, you know make it last longer... but I couldn't do it. I had to get my hands on the next book. This series has so many amazingly awesome things about it that you will want to devour it. The characters rock. I feel so close to almost everyone. Of coarse I am in love with Kate and Curran but also the side characters from Andrea to Derek to Julie and a whole bunch of them.  The world building is off the charts unique. There is never a dull moment in these action packed books.

And even though Kate and Curran are officially mated their spark is still there. I know it was torture to get us here and I am always afraid once I get my way with a couple that spark might fizzle but that is just not the case here. If they aren't getting naked, or beating each others asses they are least bantering back and forth and always making me smile.

Magic Slays was just packed with non stop action. Kate is finally mated to Curran and she is out of the Order. Of coarse her first case is something that could tear the world apart. Not only does it effect Kate but it could effect every magic user. Lots of lives are lost and some near and dear to us lives are hanging on by a thread.

I can't even begin to get into the plot. Its just freaking awesome. Kate Daniels series is seriously one of the best ever Urban Fantasy series ever. I am so happy I read them.

  1. Yay! I'm glad you love the series as much as I do. I did find that this book is my least favorite out of all of them. I think Magic Strikes and Magic Bleeds are tied for first place. Great Review! I can't wait till the next one comes out.

    1. I love it. I want more now. I should have made this series last longer, but I got greedy.

  2. I hate the fact that our library doesn't have all the books in the series. Next to Night Huntress, this one is what PNR/UF lovers are recommending I read.
