Kate Daniels keeps the peace in Atlanta for the Order, humans caught between the vampire controlling People led by her biological father and best kept secret, Roland, and the shape-shifter Pack, led by her mate-to-be Curran, the Lord of the Beasts. But her look-alike aunt Erra, Babylon's god of chaos and terror, has come to town controlling seven naked warriors: Deluge (flood water), Tremor (earth quake), Gale (hurricane wind), Torch (fire inferno), Venom (disease poison), Beast (animal monster), and Darkness (overpowering dread)
This is one of those series that each book just gets better and better. And after reading Magic Bleeds its official I am freaking in love. I was pretty much in love before this book but now I am head over heels in love!
Kate Daniels kicks ass! Her story kicks major ass. She is just a bad ass! She goes into a pack meeting being told to not provoke anyone so naturally as soon as she walks in she challenges someone and takes them out. She is brilliant. I love her so much. She always has something funny to say, she can't handle authority and well she just kicks ass.
Curran the lion who stole my heart. When he missed the naked dinner, I was a little upset. But obviously he had his reasons. He isn't giving up on getting his mate and he is willing to do a lot to make that happen. We even get some glimpses to his past. He is the beast lord, alpha of the packs but he is totally willing to let Kate still be her kick ass self. And even when she drops a bomb shell on him, he is still by her side.
Kate and Curran are obviously crazy about another but its not an easy road. I am really happy they seem like they are going to work on it. They are perfect together and just like I thought they would they are explosive when they finally get it on!
But this book is not just about their relationship. Kate works for the Order and there is a new mysterious killer on the loose. Its taking out all the most powerful people and doing things no one should be able to do. Kate needs to solve the case before all hell breaks loose. Things especially get messy when Kate finds out who is behind these attacks.
Such a freaking fantastic Urban Fantasy series. I don't want it to end. Its crazy original and unique. I can't believe I didn't start this sooner. I can't believe I am almost done with this series, I think there is going to be a missing piece of my heart when I have to let this series go.
