Kim Harrison's Mystery City Contest

Saturday, January 5, 2013
In January, Kim releases her newest title, Ever After, the eleventh book in the sexy supernatural adventures of witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan. Kim wants to do a tour to connect with her fans, but she doesn’t have the funding to visit every location on her wishlist. Instead, Kim and HarperCollins are teaming up to try a fansourced approach to her book tour.

Kim hosted a survey on her blog to give her readers the opportunity to showsupport for an event in their hometown. Atlanta and Minneapolis received the most votes, and now it’s up to fans in each finalist city to help their local indie bookstores reach a goal of 150 book sales to win a free in-person event with Kim.

The competition is on! Check out Kim's blog post for current rankings and more details on how readers can participate.

Kim is having a grudge match between Atlanta and Minneapolis to decide the last tour stop. First store to have 150 committed buyers gets her!
Price includes shipping to get it to you on release week, and you bring it to the event to get it signed.

To get Kim to your hometown, the Togather people have arranged for a special preorder deal with Eagle Eye and Uncle Hugo’s:  to register interest for the event, you can place a pre-order Ever After through the site. Each book purchase serves as your ticket for the event, and you’ll automatically get added to the guest list. The first city to buy 150 books WINS, and will be added on as the final stop To Kim's EVER AFTER tour.

The cover cost of the book also includes tax and shipping costs so you will have it right on release day.  (Note:  If your store/city wins, you’ll get a signed copy of Kim's book that can be personalized at the event! See the event page for your city for further details on pick-up and shipping options).

*If a store does not ‘win’ an event (less than 150 pre-orders), your credit card will not be charged.  Orders  are only placed if the bookstore in your hometown wins the Mystery City contest. If not, then no money is exchanged.

The city that reaches 150 votes first
in the final round of voting WINS,
and will be added on as the final stop
 to Kim's  EVER AFTER tour.

To show your support for the event at your local bookstore, RSVP here with your pre-order:

May the first store to reach 150 votes win!

Ever After

  Release date January, 2013

New York Times bestselling author Kim Harrison returns to the sexy, supernatural adventures of Rachel Morgan with the eleventh book of the Hollows!

The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic in our own. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix this, before life utterly changes for the worse.

Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it. And that the most powerful demon in the ever after--one who eats souls--has vowed to destroy Rachel, and kidnapped her friend and goddaughter as leverage. If Rachel doesn’t give herself up, they will die.

Rachel must team up with elven tycoon Trent Kalamack--a prospect both thrilling and dismaying--to return to the ever after and rescue the hostages, then keep both worlds from being destroyed.

About Togather:
Togather is a free, online fansourcing platform that brings authors and audiences together.
We created Togather because giving a talk to an empty room is no fun.
You know how difficult and time-consuming it is to book and promote your own speaking engagements. So why not get some help directly from the people who really want to hear you talk? Using an on-demand fansourcing platform, Togather transforms the way authors organize book tours and bring audiences to events.
With Togather, every talk, book signing or lecture is sold out before you even leave your home. We use a group-buying mechanism to make sure that your fans commit to attending. It only takes a few clicks to show some author love. And with this commitment from fans, a whole new world of possible events opens to you and your audience. We think that's exciting.
Togather was created by authors. We understand the challenges of connecting with your audience. Dear writer, this tool is for you. Now go pack all your belongings in a gingham handkerchief tied to the end of a stick and start touring.
Togather was incubated by Huge Labs with financial backing from Interpublic Group. Togather was founded in April 2011 by authors Andrew Kessler and Aaron Shapiro and is based out of Brooklyn, New York.
