Demons of Infernum, book #1
Re-released in print on July 31st
Entangled Publishing

About the author:
Formally trained as a corporate and real estate lawyer, I practiced law for 5 years before finally admitting to myself that negotiating contracts wasn’t nearly as fun as dreaming up stories. As an avid reader of romances and supernatural stories, I knew I wanted to write urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Tales of vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings ensued.
I’m currently working on the Demons of Infernum series, a series of paranormal romance novels featuring four sexy half-demon brothers and their reluctant heroines.
When not writing, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son in our home state of Florida, as well as searching out things that go bump in the night. I still haven’t found any, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
If I ever do find evidence of the supernatural, it remains to be seen whether I’ll jump around in excitement, or run screaming in terror (but I’m betting on the latter)!

About Blood of the Demon

Keegan lives to exact revenge on the evil demon who sired and abused him. When his father devises a plan to bring on the apocalypse, he and his three half-brothers, interdimensional bounty hunters for the Elden Council, are charged with capturing and delivering their father for punishment.
Art gallery owner Brynn Meyers has no idea that her ability to read memories embedded in objects and drain people of their life force means she has demon ancestry. Unfortunately for Brynn, she's also the key to raising an ancient zombie army, which puts her on every demon's Most Wanted List. And no one wants her more than Keegan's father.Keegan must protect Brynn from his father by any means necessary, but he'll have to learn to harness the other half of his genetics-the far deadlier, uncontrollable half-when he starts to fall for the one woman standing between him and the vengeance he so desperately seeks. The one woman he'll never be able to resist.

Second Haiku warning:

A boyfriend missing
A lover must pay in blood
A princess must die

Welcome back to Bonfire Academy.

Broken. I couldn’t think of a better word to describe it. I felt as if I’d been torn to bits, maybe even shredded. I was suffocating, surrounded by a wet tightness of skin and flesh all crusted together. My body was home to excruciating stabs of pain searing about randomly before a final thrust of sheer agony. I couldn’t tell if the source of the pain was within me or if I was being repeatedly sliced open with a knife. Did it matter? I felt as though it was only a matter of seconds before my thoughts would end.

My name. I flinched as the same voice repeated my name again and again. Why? Who was it? It—he—sounded familiar. I heaved as the voice triggered the memory of his face. Then, not being able to stop the bile from traveling up my throat, I gagged and purged, emptying my stomach completely. The next time he muttered my name, his voice was laced with disgust. But his revulsion couldn’t compete with my utter repugnance and disbelief at what he’d done. Him. Someone I had trusted with my life, even though the rule was clear:

Trust No One.

A great follow up to the first book Initiation. I honestly love Cordelia, she is a princess who is beautiful and has so much going on for herself, and oh yeah she changes into a monsterous looking demon who has pus oozing out of her. No big deal..

Bonfire isn't a normal school. Its a school for a select few paranormal creatures, and it helps them migrate into the human world without causing problems and how to interact with other creatures. When I first read Initiation I really wasn't sure I was going to like Cordelia, she didn't seem like a character I could relate too, but I was so wrong. As soon as she took on being Faustine's mentor she seemed to grow in my eyes and I loved her loyalness. Now we all know me I love my books to have lots of romance, but in this series I love seeing how close Cordelia and Faustine are. There is some romance but the 2 girls and all the crazyness that happens to them is really more the main focus.

Another awesome thing about this book that if you like YA but kinda get burned out on it this series is like right in the middle. Its not too YA but not Adult either.

I am eagerly waiting for book 3 after this books ending. It was a major cliffhanger. I am not complaining but man I need the next book now. This series is great. I love all the action, the mystery and there is always a surprise thrown in there. Its a series any paranormal fan will want to check out!

There is need. And then there is Fate...

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

Pure totally took me by surprise. Two of my friends that read it did not love it so I kept putting it off. When I finally decided to take the plunge and read it, I found myself pleasantly surprised. I think I read the book in 2 sittings.

I have a thing for that forbidden romance and I love the way Alex and Aidan want each other but they seriously can't give into their feelings. I find that just hot hot hot!! I like their hidden moments and they way they must keep what they feel a secret. Even though Aidan does try and back it off for Alex sake and that made room for Seth to come in, I am not giving up hope. I am a total Aidan girl.

When I started this book I figured I was going to have some kind of love triangle and I was determined not to like Seth. I still don't trust Seth but I found he wasn't so bad. It wasn't one of those books I wanted to throw across the room or anything.

If you haven't read Half Blood I totally think you should. I find myself totally drawn into this world. If you are a YA lover then you should really enjoy this series. I am so happy I already have Deity so I can jump back into this world!

In the shadows of the night, Darian has lived alone for almost a century. Made and abandoned by her former love, Darian is the last of her kind—an immortal Shaede who can slip into darkness as easily as breathing. With no one else to rely on, she has taught herself how to survive, using her unique skills to become a deadly assassin.

When Darian's next mark turns out to be Xander Peck, King of the Shaede Nation, her whole worldview is thrown into question. Darian begins to wonder if she's taken on more than her conscience will allow. But a good assassin never leaves a job unfinished.

I had such high expectations for Shaedes of Gray, I thought it was going to totally blow me away and I would be hooked into the story in one page. Unfortunately we know how those high expectations usually work out and in my case I just expected too much. That is not saying I didn't really enjoy the book though, because I really did. I just had to take my time with how the book made me feel and let go of how I wanted it to make me feel.

Shaedes of Gray is truly a new and unique world. We are not in the typical world with vamps weres and fairies but we are in a world with Shaedes, Jinns, oracles and other creatures. If you are looking to change up your usual scenery then this is a book for you.

Darian when she was human was used and abused only to be saved and transformed. She fell in love with her savior only for him to abandon her too. She finds out that almost everything she thought she knew was a lie. This does toughen her heart and can anyone really blame her? She doesn't want to let her guard down again.

Then there is Tyler. Who at first I loved!! He was sweet and sexy and had that mystery vibe going. Plus the sexual tension between him and Darian was just hot! But he started to drive me crazy. He seemed to get too clingy and too needy. I didn't like that at all. I still like him, but there was some points in the story that just seemed out of character and made me want to hit him.

Anyways, Darian is an assassin but her latest job from Tyler turns out to be more then she could ever expect. Its that night that everything she thought she knew came crashing down! She finds out she is not alone and the world is a lot bigger then she once believed. Now she has to try and uncover what is so unique about her and how to fit in. Its not easy when it seems no one wants to tell her anything useful and she is never really sure who she can trust.

If you are looking for a new Urban Fantasy then you should check out Shaedes of Gray.

Review: Mating Call by Felicity Heaton

Series: In Heat #2
Publication Date: December 2007
Format: ebook
Reviewer: Amber R.

The English winter weather has no chance of cooling Kim down when her dreams of Erik return, and this time they’re hotter than ever! Having spent the past two years waiting to be in heat again so she can mate with her black panther shape-shifter lover, Erik Blackwell, Kim is excited about the prospect that she’s ready at last. But there’s one thing that she isn’t ready for...

The handsome white tiger shape-shifter that walks into their visions and then into their life, proclaiming himself to be her potential mate too!

With two shape-shifters hearing her call, Kim doesn’t know what to do. All she wants is to be Erik’s, but she has no control over the visions they share and she finds herself starting to enjoy the intensely sensual and sexual things she and her two would-be lovers do in them.

Erik’s jealousy of the newcomer is only made worse by the fact that the man turns out to be the crown prince of Denmark, Prince Kristian, and he’s as intent on winning Kim as Erik is on keeping her for himself.

Torn between two lovers, will Kim have the strength to ignore Kristian’s heat and her attraction to him? Unable to stop herself from joining in the carnal pleasures in their visions, will she be able to resist the lure of Kristian in real life? Will Erik believe everything that happens or will he see past the lies to the truth and fight for the woman he loves?

Erik and Kim have had two years of relationship bliss. Kim is on the brink of being ready to mate again, when her visions start coming back and there is a bump in the so called easy mating process. Another possible mate.

Let me just say, I was thankful for air conditioning while I was reading this book. It was super freaking hot. Erik and Kim's connection is so steamy. Even though I didn't like another possible mate being thrown into the mix, I have to admit that the visions with all three of them together? All kinds of sexy. Kristian, the potential mate, is a total douchebag though. He's so rude and forceful with Kim. Not too mention I don't like seeing the discourse between Kim and Erik.

This book is so hot though. Felicity has yet to let me down. I don't know how I missed her books all of these years but I'll definitely be catching up with her books. This series is so great, if you haven't checked it out you definitely should.

Author Bio:

The Fun Part: Calinda B was told early on that she should be a writer. She heard frequent praise for her writing, as well as her sense of humor. Scoffing at such admonitions and praise, she went on to pursue her life of adventure, chock full of the things that make up a well-rounded adventurous life: music (yup, she was a singer in a rock and roll band), dance (even performed hip hop in Russia), rock climbing (ever hung from a rock wall a few stories up? Yikes!), fire walking (taught high-ranking Moscow fire officials how to walk the coals), kayaking, scuba diving (she’s in love with sharks), travel, and falling in love again and again.

The Daily Grind: An award-winning web designer and certified SEO specialist, Calinda B has worked in the Internet industry as a web page designer/developer since the early 1990′s. She has also taught web site design and computer graphics at community colleges in Northern California. In addition to writing, Calinda B creates fine art and music, and enjoys scuba diving, kayaking, and bike riding. Calinda B makes her home in the Pacific Northwest with the love of her life and her two cats. She is currently working on the fourth book in The Wicked Series, tentatively entitled A Wicked Ending.

As their quest to unmask the villain draws them closer together, Daisy has no choice but to reveal her own startling secret, and Ian must face the undeniable truth: Losing his heart to Daisy may be the only way to save his soul.

Amber R.'s Thoughts

After reading Firelight I was really excited to read Moonlight. I was slightly apprehensive though because I loved Archer and Miranda but I have to say that I loved this book just as much as the first.

Ian and Daisy immediately have a connection and a fun relationship. I like seeing them joke and bicker back and forth. They are so much fun together. I like that Daisy doesn't back down from Ian, even when he's trying to push her away. They both have issues from previous relationships that they are trying to work through. However, they are able to come together by communicating and they start to trust each other.

Although seeing their relationship blossom was fun that wasn't the only thing going on in the book. There was all kinds of stuff happening. Main thing being that there is a werewolf on the loose in London who is wreaking havoc. Daisy was almost a victim and Ian is on the hunt for the were. Not to mention, Ian's brother the Ranulf, isn't trying to help control the were which he should be. And Ian is facing pressure from different sides to challenge his brother for place of leader of the Ranulf clan. Besides the fact, it looks like Miranda might not be the only one out of the sisters with a special affinity. There is all kinds of action in the book.

We've got romance, action, and paranormals, what else could you want? This book is fast paced and riveting. It holds your attention and you don't want to put it down. If you've read and loved Firelight then you'll definitely love this book. Also, if you haven't read it believe me when I say that this will be one of your favorite series of 2012.

Amber I's Thoughts

I was in over the top love with Firelight! It was and is my most favorite book I have read this year, so I thought nothing at all could top that and WOW did Moonglow come in and just sit its pretty little self next to Firelight and share in all its glory!! UMM if you are not understanding what I am saying, I am saying I LOVED Moonglow just as much as Firelight.

Often when an author keeps to the same series but switches characters you kinda get the same book just with new people, but not in this series. Moonglow was completely its own book with new things happening and nothing was like it was for Miranda and Archer. Plus we go deeper into the paranormal world! Moonglow was just a breath of fresh air. Nothing goes the way you think its going to go. There was so many surprises and things I never would have even guessed coming.

Daisy and Ian are amazing together. They are both flirty and funny and always try and one up each other. I loved their bantering. I really loved them riding in a carriage together but I don't think I should really get into that right now. The Ian and Daisy we seen in Firelight is a lot different.

Moonglow kept me flipping the pages as fast as I could. Every time I would tell myself I was going to take a break at the end of this chapter I just couldn't. It was sexy, suspenseful and always throwing surprises my way. The only thing that would have made it even more amazing is if Ian wore a kilt! I loved hearing his scottish coming out and calling her lass. I even loved him always threatening to take her over his knee. *Moving on again, sorry I get distracted*

I am really hoping we get more with Ian and Daisy!! Even more with Miranda and Archer! I just do not want to see these characters go yet. So if you see this Kristen Callihan, be a nice author and keep their stories going. Please!

Review: A Demon and His Psycho by Eve Langlais

Series: Welcome to Hell #2
Publication Date: July 19, 2012
Format: ebook

Reviewed by: Amber I.

Warning:This story centers around a grumpy demon holding onto an ancient vow and a perky psycho (with killer tendencies) who is determined to make him snap. There's cursing, melt-your-screen hotness, messed up religious tropes and snort out loud fun. If you enjoy raunchy humor, sizzling moments and already know you’re going to Hell, then dive on in.

I'm not crazy. I just have anger issues.

With a giggle and an outrageous mouth – perfect for things other than talking – Katie comes flying into Xaphan’s life, upsetting centuries of self-inflicted misery. How can he stay true to the one he lost when a bubbly psycho, with mismatched eyes, keeps consuming his thoughts – and awakening his desire?

So she was a tad bit nuts, Katie’s insanity came in handy as the Devil’s favorite problem solver. But killing’s not on the menu when a dragon goes missing, and worse, Lucifer teams her up with Hell’s grumpiest demon. His rejection of her advances only makes her more determined to seduce him. And despite her violent reputation, a part of her is oddly tempted to let him live.

Welcome to Hell where the rules are always changing, the ash is constantly raining, and Lucifer is watching, waiting to steal your soul…

Who would have thought Lucifer being a perfect match maker? lol The man in charge of Hell himself is setting up couples and they are falling in love. Seems odd but he is trying to build his army.

Katie is a crazy psycho. She enjoys killing. Unfortunately in her human life this is what cost her, her life. Even if she did only kill scum bags who really didn't deserve to live. Sadly Katie has a bad past and trusts no man. Now in Hell the even call her The Black Widow. Even if she doesn't trust men, the girl still has needs! But the men she decides to satisfy those needs with never see the light of another day. Remember I told you she was a psycho.

Then there is Xaphan who made a ridiculous vow some 300 yrs ago to never love another. And the crazy mofo has kept it. That is until a little psycho vixen walks in with her sexual innuendos and starts to shatter Mr. Grumpy's well kept walls. And its a good thing she does, a man that looks as good as Xaphan does should not be self pleasuring himself at all! Unless he is putting a show!

This dysfunctional couple was no easy match. Him with his burdens and Katie with hers. Even is she breaks through his shell and gets him in bed she still plans to kill him.

I have said it tons of times before but I freaking love Eve Langlais! She always gives me exactly what I want in a book. I feel almost like repeating all my gushing love for her again and again. But I don't want to keep saying the same thing! You just really need to check out her books! Trust me! And Welcome To Hell series is becoming one of my top favorites of hers. I can't wait to Lucifer's next  pair he sets up!

A quote from the Devil himself:
"You'd think me yelling, 'Yeah baby, that's it, take it deep!' would be enough to show her what I feel. But no. She wants to hear the L word. WOMEN!".......

Desire calls. Danger Lurks.

When Destiny McCree wakes up beside a dead man on an Oregon beach, she knows only this: she has to keep moving, keep searching, and keep one step ahead of the forces that have been pursuing her from the heart of Scotland to this isolated spot. Why? The death of her lover has left her alone, with little memory of her past. A glimmering serpent-shaped ring is the one clue she has—and a bargaining chip in a most dangerous game.

Enter Trae Wilson, a master thief with a sexy, knowing grin and a secret agenda of his own. Destiny and Trae both have powers far beyond the human—and both are running for their lives. Together they’re riding a tide of danger, magic, and lust…but with killers stalking their every move, they must use any means necessary, even each other, to survive—until the shocking secret of one woman’s destiny finally unravels.…

Keri Arthur has done it again. For some reason I just found out about this series and I have only read this book so far but I absolutely love it. This book was super action packed from the beginning. Seriously non stop from the first page to the last.

Destiny is a sea dragon, meaning she can shift into her sea dragon form whenever she wants. She was imprisoned for 11 years by scientists who were doing testing on her and a group of other sea and air dragons. She and an air dragon, Egan escape from the facility where they are being held. They have a plan to get the other dragons out of the facility but before anything gets accomplished Egan is killed and his brother Trae shows up. Destiny and Trae feel a connection with each other that doesn't make any sense but neither of them will trust the other.

Despite all of the craziness, the heat between Destiny and Trae is out of control. I loved the banter between them and of course the heat between them is off the charts. There are a few things that happen in this book that legitimately made me cry. It was so sad. However, this book is absolutely amazing. This is definitely being added to my list of favorite books.

While she might be determined to keep him at a distance, Kole has other ideas. He won’t allow her to shut him out.
A pact between best friends brought them together, emotional barriers tear them apart. Kole skillfully reminds Bella through pleasure and punishment that she is now his submissive, and her place is under his command.

Only one thing would save Bella now—a stiff drink. Reed and Kole’s parties were always fun, and it was nice to see new friends she’d made over the past month. But her mood was right in the toilet. It’d been that way all day and had only gotten worse since she joined the party. She shouldn’t have come.
She cursed on a low breath. How in the hell was she going to get out of her current predicament? Originally, it’d been she who offered the idea of the pact of seduction, and she couldn’t even commit. Pathetic.
Marley’s giggle drew her attention, and Reed had pulled her onto his lap, nibbling at her neck. As horrible as it was, jealously surged. Maybe she had hoped that her fantasy would fill that empty void in her soul. Sure, it was meant as something sexually fun, but Bella craved something…
A part of her remained unfulfilled, even if she didn’t understand exactly what was missing. All she knew, her life at this moment was boring with a side of totally sucks.
She glanced over at Kyra, who laughed with Sadie, and nudged her arm. “I’ll be back. I need some air.”
“Sure.” Kyra’s green eyes were a little glassy. The wine clearly had gotten to her. “Want some company?”
“Nah.” She plastered on a fake smile. “I won’t be long.”
Kyra gave a nod, then turned her attention back at Sadie as the two chuckled about something Sadie had said. If only Bella had something to laugh about. She rose from the couch and made her way through the crowd.
As she passed, she noticed a man sitting on the ottoman and a woman knelt at his feet with her arms over his legs. The position appeared casual enough, but it also looked…different. As if the woman enjoyed being at his feet. Another spurt of jealously soared, and she gave her head a good hard shake. She was apparently envious of everyone who had a relationship. And since when had she been jealous of a BDSM relationship?
What’s gotten into you?
She made her way through the living room and stepped out onto the balcony. The cool air brushed against her skin, and she shivered. Winter still hung on in Baltimore, but what a strange winter it’d been—snow one day, mild the next. Tonight was brisk, but that only seemed to help cool off the annoyance burning her blood.
With her glass in her hands, she leaned on the railing and glanced over the city. Reed and Kole’s condo had an amazing view and the lights twinkled below.
She sipped at her drink and pondered her situation. How could she plan another fantasy when the only one she wanted she had yet to fully accept herself? And why was she acting like a bitter idiot?
After a long gulp that had her cringing from the aftertaste, a deep voice interrupted her useless thoughts. “I heard last night didn’t go well.”
She lowered the glass, licked the moisture on her lips, and looked next to her to find Kole. Like always in his presence, butterflies fluttered in her stomach, but she squashed them and kept her voice controlled. “That’s putting it lightly.”
His blond stylish hair framed a face worth a second look, and his dark blue eyes shone with a power that made her melt. He leaned against the railing beside her, cocked his head, and she felt the weight of his stare right down to her toes. “Tell me about it.”
She sipped her drink, mortified to her bones that she had to admit this to Kole. “It wasn’t Raven’s fault. I”—she drew in a deep breath and said quickly—“I always thought my fantasy was to be with a woman, but clearly it’s not.”
“Ah, I see.” He took a gulp of his beer before he lowered it. “You didn’t get off, I’m assuming?”
She snorted. “If laughing in her face means that I didn’t get off, then yes, I didn’t get off.”
He chuckled, the sound so seductive Bella quivered. In response to that odd reaction, she examined him and couldn’t stop from admiring the view.
He was dressed in a pair of dark jeans that no doubt hugged his fine ass, and a black T-shirt that was snug around the muscles beneath. Good God. She licked her lips for reasons that had nothing to do with her drink.
“You didn’t follow through with your part of the pact, then?”
Her gaze lifted to his face. The glint in his eyes declared he’d been quite aware of her admiring him. Hell, she’d lusted after him since the day they met. A strong sexual attraction existed between them that she hadn’t experienced before with any man, especially a Dom.
She blinked and focused away from the warmth that formed between her thighs. “That’s right. I bailed on the pact.”
His gaze became penetrating as his tone dipped lower. “Why don’t you arrange another night with someone else for your fantasy?”
“Because”—her muscles stiffened, and after a long sigh, she grimaced—“I have no idea what that fantasy is now.”
“Such a problem for a woman to have,” he mused.
She gulped at the way his voice seemed to carry into her soul; then she lowered her head to avoid eye contact with him. He raised his bottle to his mouth, and his arm brushed against hers. Tingles zinged through her, and she squeezed her thighs together to ease the throb of her clit.
How did he make her body do that? Every time he was near, she all but sizzled, and when he touched her, everything was amplified.
“I see that you need help, then, in finding what you’re looking for.”
It hadn’t sounded like a question, which she was glad for since her tight throat made it impossible to answer. He slid his finger along her arm, slowly and with clear intent to unravel her.
She bit her bottom lip. “W-what does that mean?”
He tucked his finger under her chin and lifted her head. “I think we both know what I mean.” Those eyes of his burned with the lust that he had obviously contained. “You enjoy my attention, and I’d enjoy you under my command.”
Then he pressed a finger on the back of her hand and danced his touch up her arm. His gaze followed his caresses every step of the way. And damn him if she didn’t close her eyes and shudder.
A scrape of his nail along her skin drew her eyes open, and he grinned with sin. “Look how beautifully you react to me.” He finally reached her shoulder, and she trembled under the softness of his touch that seemed to contradict that power oozing from him. He tucked his fingers back under her chin, drew her head up, and stared intently into her eyes.
Searching for what, she had no idea.
His hold tensed, a shift in his gaze appeared that made her stomach flip-flop, and her panties were now soaked. He leaned in, pressed his lips against hers, and the world froze. His luscious and damn well perfect mouth molded with hers as his silky tongue swept her away. When had anyone ever kissed her like this?
Oh, right—never.
He kissed her thoroughly, leaving no part of her mouth untouched; then he backed away but kept hold of her chin. “It’s time to stop ignoring what your body needs and accept that you want to be dominated.”
Hell, how right was he? Maybe BDSM wasn’t her fantasy when she made the pact of seduction with her friends, but after hearing about it from Marley, her interest had grown. She lifted a lazy shoulder to appear nonchalant. “I suppose if I set up a scene with you, that would be a solution to my problem.”
“Not good enough.” His gaze hardened. “Do you want me to take you into a scene, Bella?”
At his pause, she realized she needed to give a better answer, and she nodded. “I do.”
He examined her for a long moment before he finally said, “Now what are your interests in BDSM?”
She melted at the way he stared at her now. So intense. So wicked. Was this a hint of what he’d look like in a scene? Her body flushed, yet she held her focus and lifted her chin. She had always prided herself on staying strong around powerful men.
Her job as a stockbroker in Baltimore’s top lending investment firm meant she swam with the sharks. Most of her coworkers were authoritative men. If she’d showed weakness, she wouldn’t be where she was today, and she’d worked hard for her position.
“I’m interested in”—her throat went dry. All these fantasies she hadn’t admitted to anyone. Was she really going through with this? Her soaking panties declared it so—“ropes, sex toys, floggers, to be controlled, pleasure, and pain.” She raised her glass to her mouth and tried to ignore the way her hands shook.
Before the rim could reach her lips, Kole snatched the glass from her hands and set it on the ground next to him. “If we’re discussing this and you are serious, you will stop drinking.”
A flare of irritation rose up that he’d be so bold to take her drink right out of her hands, yet Marley had said that Castle Dolce Vita Doms never allowed submissives to drink alcohol in a scene to ensure they were clearheaded. And since they were discussing what would happen between them, she let it go. “Okay.”
He gave a short nod. “Now I want to make sure you’re well aware of what will happen and what I expect of you.” His gaze searched hers, seemingly looking right through her. “And I need to be sure that I’m the correct Dom for you.”
“I don’t want anyone else,” she blurted out before she could stop herself.
His eyebrows rose. “I don’t mind your answer, Bella.” A small grin turned up the corners of his mouth. “But do tell—have you put more thought into this than you’re letting on?”
Her cheeks had never burned so hot, but she wouldn’t be that woman who’d stumble around a man. She stuffed her nervousness away, clasped her hands, and demanded her voice to be strong. “Maybe once or twice.”
She’d been aware of the mutual attraction between them, so two could play his game. “Are you trying to deny you haven’t thought about it too?”
He winked. “Maybe once or twice.”
A flutter whipped around inside her, her palms grew clammy, and she squeezed her fingers. Why did he make her act so…knocked off her axis?
“One thing that needs to be discussed is my expectations.” He glanced at her hands for a moment as if he took in her reaction before he looked back into her eyes. “From what I know of you as you are now, you’d struggle to meet them. And I want to make that clear so you know what you’re getting yourself into.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” she snapped. “Why would I struggle to meet your demands?”
He gave his head a slow shake. “I’m not saying it to insult you, but to give you a stern warning. I don’t play lightly.”
“Well, I…” Her entire face burned hot as if she had a high-grade fever. Marley had told her all about Kole. How he enjoyed pain play. How strict he was in how a submissive behaved. And all it’d done was increase the throb between her thighs. Solidified the fantasy. “I think I might like that.”
He gave a delicious smile. “I have no doubt you would.”
And then his lips were back on hers as he swept her away in another leg-wobbling kiss before those plush lips tore away from hers.
“You’ll arrive at the castle next Friday at seven o’clock. I’ll have a room reserved.” He dropped his head, his eyes in the direct line of hers. “When you arrive, remove your clothes, kneel in the center of the room, and wait for me. Clear?”
Heat spread across her body at the images playing in her head. Nude? Kneeling? Oh God! She quivered in anticipation.
At his expectant expression, she nodded instead of offering him a breathy response.
“Good.” He took her mouth again playfully, nibbled on the corners of her lips, and flicked her lips with his tongue. And when he had her body ramped up to a fever pitch, he backed away to trail his thumb over her lips. “Can you be honest and open with me?”
Drool, honest-to-God drool, formed in her mouth. Everyday Kole was sexy. Dom Kole was to die for. The sheer power that exuded from him, intensity in his features, it all captivated her. He’d asked her to be honest with him—how hard could that be? “I can do that.”
He nodded in approval, skimmed her mouth again with his thumb, while his gaze stayed focused there. The smile he gave, the possessiveness held in the depths of his eyes, liquefied her insides.
Something sparked through his touch, only increasing with his kiss, and even more so by the way he looked at her now. One of those duh moments. Had what she wanted—desired—been standing right in front of her this entire time?
In less than a week, she’d have the answer.

Stacey Kennedy’s erotic romance novels are just that…erotic. There is nothing better than taking the dominant men she loves and watching them do wicked things to their women. But she just can’t write without a little humor added into the mix so that’s always a must have in her stories. And of course what’s a story without a big dose of emotional characters, too. Her urban fantasy/paranormal and erotic romance series have hit Amazon Kindle and All Romance eBooks bestseller lists.

What is it about a Dom that makes you sizzle?

For me, there are three very good reasons that led me to write BDSM erotic romance. Anyone who has read my work knows that I love dominant men. My heroes are always chest-beating type of caveman. And there’s no one more dominant than a Dom. So, the transition to writing in this genre wasn’t such a leap for me. Of course, I needed to research my tush off, but that was a thoroughly entertaining experience.

So, why do I love Doms? Without a doubt it’s that strong alpha men make me go mushy. There’s just nothing sexier than a man who knows how to take control of a situation. But I do have a real soft spot for a man who can be tender, too. I love Doms who give the impression they can squish a person with their pinky finger, but also have a tender side to them as well. It gives that powerful edge to them much more of a punch when they have the ability to control it. And every so often we have a completely unexpected sweet moment that makes me melt. Sigh, right?

The next thing is a Dom’s focus on his submissive. I don’t know about you, but for me, there’s something very sexy about a man who truly understands what a woman needs. Maybe because sometimes women and men do seem to live on different planets, and I know in my own life I can say something to my hubby and he looks at me like my head is screwed on backwards. So yes, I quite enjoy being in the mind of a Dom who reads his submissives body language, understands her from the inside out, and knows exactly how to make his sub go wild!

Lastly, and without a doubt this is probably the most important for me, it’s what he does in a scene that makes me melt into a puddle of goo. I’m sure all women can relate to maybe having an ex-boyfriend in their life that had no idea what he was doing when it came to the bedroom. Maybe he was a horrible kisser. Possibly he was really shy. Or he simply wasn’t very good at what he tried to do! So for me, when I write BDSM I love that it extends from simple kissing and touching, but that he’s trained to use equipment that will heighten a woman’s pleasure.

That’s what it’s all about for me and why I love writing in this genre. I love that a man can use candle wax, a flogger, or even a whip in a way to make a woman soar. It’s every little moment that I find sexy. Every look he gives her. All the ways he creates the scene to make it perfect for her. It’s the emotional exchange during a scene that captivates me. How his focus is on only one thing…her!

So, you tell me…do you love those Dom’s, too?
