Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
Holy freaking awesome!! That just about sums it up for me. This book was amazing. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I have been in a big YA funk lately. I read a few from series I already loved but not much but man this book just blew me away. I started it thinking I would just read a few chapters I had to get up early in the morning, but by the time I got to my cut off point I just couldn't stop. I kept hoping time would just slow down but it did not. I ended up with 4 hours of sleep because of this book. And then the next day as soon as I could I was diving back in. I had to finish it, but now I am sad its over because I hate waiting for more!
Sweet Evil is a refreshing new book on the YA bookshelf. When I read the blurb I really wasn't sold on it but I had nothing to read so I was like I guess I will give it a try. And as you can see I am pretty happy I did. I don't want to get too much into the plot because I loved not knowing anything about it and just diving in. Its much better that way. But listen to me, ITS AWESOME! I swear it.
The plot was great. It had my turning the pages as fast as I could because I just wanted to know how everything was going to play out. ALL THE CHARACTERS are awesome! Seriously they all bring something to the table and I love them all. Of coarse I love Kaidan. He is dark and sexy and kind of an ass but you can just tell there is something deeper there. Plus being the son of the Demon of Lust probably ups his sexiness!
Just go read the damn book! Seriously just do it! Even if you are not a YA reader you should give it a try. Its got the Amber I. stamp of approval. Its so awesome, I am going to go in and edit my 2012 Favorite books and add this baby in. Now I just have to find a way to get my hands on book 2 asap!
