There are only eight breeding female werecats left . . .
And I'm one of them.
I look like an all-American grad student. But I am a werecat, a shape-shifter, and I live in two worlds.
Despite reservations from my family and my Pride, I escaped the pressure to continue my species and carved out a normal life for myself. Until the night a Stray attacked.
I'd been warned about Strays -- werecats without a Pride, constantly on the lookout for someone like me: attractive, female, and fertile. I fought him off, but then learned two of my fellow tabbies had disappeared.
This brush with danger was all my Pride needed to summon me back . . . for my own protection. Yeah, right. But I'm no meek kitty. I'll take on whatever -- and whoever -- I have to in order to find my friends. Watch out, Strays -- 'cause I got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them.
Faythe is a stubborn, stubborn lady or cat, cat lady? I don't know. I love this book. I haven't read many books about shifters that weren't werewolves. These shifters are werecats and man, they are a good time! Faythe is one of the few female werecats that are alive right now. She's the daughter of the Alpha of the territory and she's fiercely independent. She left home five years ago to go to college. And although she's been alone, her father has had men tailing her the entire time to keep her safe. She gets shipped off back home when a stray starts attacking female members of the pride and kidnapping them.
This book is hot, sassy, funny.. well I guess Faythe is those things. But still, she's awesome as a heroine. Stubborn almost to a fault but she is downright bad ass. She knows what she wants and she's not going to let anyone stand in her way. Not her dad, her brothers, the hot Jace, or the sexy ex Marc. And let me tell you the heat and sexual tension between Faythe and Marc is palpable. Jace and Faythe have a good amount of heat between them too.
With all the tempers flaring, sexual tension, and a killer stray on the loose, this book leaves wanting nothing. I had never heard of this series and I'm seriously glad that I started reading it. It's absolutely amazing so far and I can't wait to see where this series takes us.
