Ritually murdered corpses are appearing across Cincinnati, terrifying amalgams of human and other. Pulled in to help investigate by the I.S. and FIB, former witch turned day-walking demon Rachel Morgan soon realizes a horrifying truth: a human hate group is trying to create its own demons to destroy all Inderlanders, and to do so, it needs her blood.

She's faced vampires, witches, werewolves, demons, and more, but humanity itself might be her toughest challenge yet.

It has been so long since I read a book from this series. Like way too long. I read Pale Demon before it came out so its almost been 2 years for me. When I started this book I was like Oh my God I forgot that happened and was kicking myself for taking so long to read this.

A Perfect Blood was great. It wasn't as awesome as Pale Demon but still great. I just didn't like how weak Rachel left herself for more then half the book. I understand her reasoning but when she is getting the crap beat out of her by humans I just couldn't take it.

In the very beginning we got a little sneak peak at Trent, and as soon as we got that, that is all I wanted to see. It took a while for him to be a major part of the story and I missed him. I love Trent and I wish him and Rachel would just rip each others clothes off already!! I missed Al too. He didn't have a big part in this story either. His part in the ending was very entertaining.

All in all this was a great addition to the series. Rachel seems to have learned her lesson and that she needs her magic and not to hide what she is. Her relationships with Ivy and Jenks are changing. She seems to have finally trusted Trent and I am hoping to see a lot of him in the next book. I am really excited to see what is going to happen next. I am so happy I already have Ever After and I promise not to take a break from this world for so long. Its an amazing Urban Fantasy read!!

  1. I'm so late in this series I still need to read the 6th book. I waited for the French release as I had them all at home but they stopped it. Now I have the sixth that waits for me.

    1. At least when you read them all you won't have to wait for the next book. I actually love that because sometimes waiting just sucks.

  2. I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's my favorite series and is completely addicting. I agree it was hard to take with Rachels weakness. At least that could be explained that she temporarily was without powers. What irked me was when she got them back - what happened to her promises against the human monsters? When they came at her again, (can't remember the man's name right now), why not use any magic at all? She was just getting beaten up in the physical fight lol

I liked the Trent time in this book as well, and agree way too little Al. Can't wait for Ever After.

    1. That was the part that bothered me. When she just got taken down so easily in a physical fight. It was hard to watch.

I can not wait to read Ever After. This series is awesome!

  3. I've only read one book by Harrison and it didn't really push me to continue reading her novels. I've heard amazing things about this series and your review definitely backs that up by now I'm just so darned far behind. What to do! LOL
