  • Please tell us a little about you and your blog?
I'm a French Canadian and live in a pretty remote area where there's not much to do other than enjoy mother nature and read (a.k.a paradise!). I work full-time at a museum in Ottawa and I recently got engaged so now I have to add wedding planning to my already hectic schedule (yikes!). In my spare time I dabble in web design, hike with my dogs, snowboard and kick my guy's butt at video games. I started blogging a little over two years ago and have been hooked ever since.

My blog revolves around mostly Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance books but I do review the occasional Young Adult title as well. I'm beyond obsessed with werewolves and will read pretty much anything featuring them. My addiction to wolves doesn't just center around fiction either; my dog is a husky, I own tons of wolf-ish knick-knacks, the wallpapers on my computer and phone are lunar landscapes, etc. I'm not sure if that's sad or awesome (I personally think it's the latter but that's just me).

5 random facts:
  • I work in Finance but suck at Math (go figure!);
  • At one point in my life I had 10 body piercings (I'm down to 4 now);
  • I will NEVER wear capri pants or crocs. I hate them. LOL;
  • I have an irrational phobia of the telephone;
  • I know more about tech gadgets than any guy I know.
  •  3 favorite debut authors this year:
Amanda Carlson;
Nina Berry;
Cat Kalen (her first book came out in late 2011 so I'm cheating a bit).

  • First book you fell in love with?
The first werewolf book that I fell in love with was The Silver Wolf by Alice Borchardt.

  • If you could pick a book character to be stuck on a deserted island with, who would you pick and why?
This is a tough call because my book boyfriend constantly changes depending on which series I'm currently reading. Although, I think I'd have to go with Vlad from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series because well, who wouldn't want to hang with THE Dracula!? *drool*

  • If you won the lottery, what's the first selfish thing you would do or buy?
Does quitting my job count as "do"? Hehe I'd probably rent or maybe even buy (depending on how much I won) a wicked fast car like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, go to Germany and drive stupid fast on the autobahns. I'm a bit of a speed demon...

  • What book would you love to see made into a movie?
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong but in Canada they're making a TV mini series out of it next year. I can't wait!

  • What is your favorite paranormal creature and why?
I think my answer to this question should be pretty evident if you read my intro but I was more interested in answering the why of this question. I like werewolves because of the pack mentality, my family isn't the greatest so I enjoy fantasizing about what it'd be like to be a part of such a close-knit group. I also enjoy the "mate for life" aspect. Perhaps that makes me a hopeless romantic but I love the idea that everyone has a soul mate. Finally, there's nothing sexier than an alpha male and how much more alpha can you get than a wolf?

  • You're in blogger jail for whatever reason, what is your last meal request?
This is a tough one because I LOVE food. Do I get dessert too? ;) I think I'd have to go with poutine. It's the unofficial dish of Québec (the province I live in). For those of you not in the know, it's french fries covered in gravy and cheese curds. Most of you would probably consider this a side-dish but for me it's a meal in itself. I absolutely love the stuff! Granted it's not the healthiest dish in the world but if this is my last meal, what do I care!? For dessert I'd probably have to go with chocolate mousse cake because well it's chocolate and I'm a girl. Need I say more? ;)

  • Doc Brown pulled up with his time machine and said he would take you to any time in the future or past anywhere you wanted, where would you pick and why?
I'd probably pick my home town 8 or 9 years ago to see my mom one more time before she got diagnosed with cancer and passed away 5 years later. I know that's not a super happy answer and probably not the goal of this question but it's the truth. Her birthday is coming up soon so she's in my thoughts a lot lately.

  • If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Probably Venice, Italy. I think the city is incredibly beautiful and romantic. Plus they have great music, food and getting around in a boat via the canals is just plain cool.

Thanks so much for having me on Awesomesauce Book Club! :)
