If you live in the dark long enough, you begin to forget the light...

Kori Daniels is a shadow-walker, able to travel instantly from one shadow to another. After weeks of confinement for betraying her boss, she's ready to break free of the Tower syndicate for good. But Jake Tower has one final job for Kori, one chance to secure freedom for herself and her sister, Kenley, even if it means taking it from someone else....

The job? Recruit Ian Holt-or kill him.

Ian's ability to manipulate the dark has drawn interest from every syndicate in the world, most notably an invitation from Jake Tower. Though he has no interest in organized crime, Ian accepts the invite, because he's on a mission of his own. Ian has come to kill Tower's top Binder: Kori's little sister.

Amid the tangle of lies, an unexpected thread of truth connecting Ian and Kori comes to light. But with opposing goals, they'll have to choose between love and liberty.

I still think the Unbound series is going to be my favorite series by Rachel Vincent. Shadow Bound was such an awesome addition. I was in love with it. I stayed up way too late reading it the first night I started and couldn't wait to get back into the story the next day. Rachel's story telling just has a way of sucking you in.

I freaking loved our hero and heroine Ian and Kori. Kori is one tough cookie. She is a bad ass, great fighter, takes no crap, swears like a sailor but has a vulnerable side no one really gets to see. Ian is well he is just hot. I can't explain it. I was so in love with him. Hes a bad ass yet hes a sweet heart and half the time I just wanted to hug him or rip his clothes off. ;) I love Kori and Ian even more then I love Liv and Cam. Actually I was pretty upset at how Liv set up Kori and I am not really ready to forgive her.

The Unbound world is one of those truly unique worlds. The characters "skills" are not like anything I have ever read about. Its a must read for anyone who needs something fresh and new in their books. I was sitting here one night trying to decide what to read and I just knew I wanted something different, something not the same ol' same ol'. I wanted to venture into new and untouched worlds and get a book that would totally captivate me. I remembered I hadn't read this book yet and jumped on my computer to check out my library, luckily they had it and I was able to download it to my kindle. Within 24 hrs I had this book read and I loved every second of it. If you haven't checked out the first book you really should!

  2. I liked the first book way more than the second but that's not to say that it still wasn't enjoyable. I can't wait to see what she comes up with for Oath Bound!

  3. I remember loving the first book. But when I read this I really felt bad for what Cam and Liv did. Plus I seen a few other reviews that didn't like this book that much. So I wasn't expecting much and I ended up loving it. I am excited for the next book too.
