Hope you Enjoy!
Please leave a comment to let us know how you like this feature

  • What is your Creature? Imp
  • Name? Drake
  • Is your creature from a specific part of the world? Imps populate cities all over the world, but Drake lives in Minneapolis, MN.
  • Physical Description? Looks like a human male: Long hair, skinny, greasy, yellowed teeth on the pointy side. No other outward physical sign of Otherness.
  • What book or series does this creature appear in? FULL BLOODED, Jessica McClain Book One.
  • What is the history of this creature? How were they created, where do they come from? An imp is half demon half human mix. One parent is from the Underworld, most commonly a male, and one parent is human, most commonly female. But a demoness can mate with a human male, but it’s extremely rare. Imps are only born male. Two full demons can make a demoness, but they are rare.
  • What are their strengths? Increased strength and mind persuasion capabilities. Other specialties can surface, depending what Sect the demon is from, i.e. Fire, incubus, or other.
  • What are their weaknesses? They can be easily killed in a number of ways since their demon blood is diluted. Each imp is different depending on how powerful their demon parent is, but most can be killed with just a bullet through the heart or brain.
  • How long can they live? Centuries. But they attract trouble, so they rarely live longer than a hundred years.
  • What do they need to survive? Each imp has a different requirement to fuel his demon side, along with regular food for his human side. Drake needs lust and sexual release, since he’s part incubus.
  • If they shift shape tell us how and why? No. Imps don’t ever shift. But their true natures are fairly serpentine, so they can manifest some of those if the demon parent is strong enough – say a Demon Lord.
  • What are some unique characteristics that set them apart from humans? Other than their pointy teeth, sometimes their irises are oval or their nails are curved. A rarity is a forked tongue.
  • Are they made or born? Born.

Thanks for inviting me by to talk creatures! Inventing new characters and world building is the best part of this job. As awful as Drake is in the book, it was so fun to come up with the rules governing him and his kind.

My Review

Jessica McClain was born the only female in an all male race. The only problem is-she's no wolf. Called a curse, a witch and the Daughter of Evil by the superstitious wolves, Jessica decides to fight for her freedom, at age nineteen, the only way she can-in the ring.
When she's brutally attacked right after her fight, is it enough to finally earn her freedom off Compound, or will she be forced to endure the hatred even longer .
