Amber I. forced these books on me about a month ago when I was on vacation. I didn't get a chance to start them until now and all I can wonder is why the hell I didn't start them sooner. I don't know how she always finds out about these awesome books but I'm so happy she does.
Anyhow, I was hooked from the first pages of this one. It's definitely going on my favorite series list. Once I got into this book, I literally couldn't put it down. I found my mind wandering and thinking about what was going to happen next. Tayla is human member of The Aegis, a group of people that hunt and kill demons. Eidolon is one of the strongest kind of demons there are. However, he's basically a good guy. They might by some crazy twist of fate and the attraction between them is impalpable. Neither of them understands it but they are both hyper aware of it. There's way more to this story than just their attraction though.
Someone is harvesting demon organs and selling them. What everyone has been taught about demons and how they are evil may be completely wrong, or at least kind of wrong. Tayla is realizing more and more about the true world they live in and more about herself. Things she doesn't even want to know but has no choice facing.
Just in case some of you haven't read this series, I'm not going to reveal anything else. I'm sad that I waited this long to read this series but I'm ecstatic that I did. I'm in love. Definitely one of the best series I've read this year.
