FORBIDDEN TEMPTATIONS

Serena Kelley is an archaeologist and treasure hunter-and a woman with a secret. Since she was seven, she's been the keeper of a powerful charm that grants her health and immortality . . . as long as she stays a virgin. But Serena isn't all that innocent. And when a dangerously handsome stranger brings her to the brink of ecstasy, she wonders if she's finally met the one man she cannot resist.

FATAL DESIRES

Wraith is a Seminus demon with a death wish. But when an old enemy poisons him, he must find Serena and persuade her to give him the only known antidote in the universe-her charm. Yet, as she begins to surrender to his seductions and Wraith senses the cure is within his grasp, he realizes a horrible truth: He's falling for the woman whose life he must take in order to save his own.

Confession time. I didn't like Wraith in the other books. I didn't expect to like him in this one. I started this book and was prepared to be annoyed and bored the entire book. I should have known better. Larissa made me love Wraith, which I thought would never happen. He's one messed up dude. Wraith's life has been anything but hard, it's been worse than hard. He was tortured for a big portion of his life and when the torture was over, he decided that he was going to run wild. Life has some big changes in store for Wraith.

I absolutely loved the story line of this book. Everything in it was new and exciting and non stop. Serena is charmed and a Sentinel. Basically, she has to stay a virgin in order to make sure she doesn't die. She was bitten by a deadly demon when she was young. In order to save her, her mother gave her an artifact that kept her alive and immune to getting hurt, sick, or anything like that. But in order to keep the charm active, she has to stay a virgin. Obviously events take place that lead Wraith to her because Wraith is dying and needs her charm. So his job is to seduce her, take the charm, and live a healthy life. Plans go awry.

This book is my favorite so far in the series. I'm shocked. I really didn't think I would like it but it was so friggen good. Even though Wraith and Serena weren't able to have sex, they managed to give us some super sexy times. There are quite a few really surprising things that happen. Including another baby for Runa and Shade but they didn't have this baby the normal way. You guys will love this book if you haven't read it. I suggest you get this series as soon as possible.

  1. This was my least fav installment in this series. I actually haven't started the 4th book yet because of this one. I like Wraith a tab more after Passion Unleashed but not much. I had a hard time believing his story because of his character. Ooh well. At least someone enjoyed it!

  2. I read these a while ago but I remember liking this story but not loving it like the others. I still have to read book 4. I am going to try and do it soon. Especially now that Amber R. is reading them and loving them.

  3. I absolutely love Wraith, but I didn't like his book. It just didn't live up to the man himself or my expectations. It's my least favourite in the series so far. I wanted so much more from it. I'm still hitting the next book though.

  4. I was in the process of reading this book and when I read your review, I screamed Noooooo! to the sky LOL Serena and Wraith don't have sex? *faints*

But since I loved Book 1 and 2 so much, I continued and though Wraith initially gives Serena some sexy dreams *fans self*, they do end up having sex towards the end, and Serena passes her protective charm onto him and saves him. Or am I reading the wrong book?

*sobs I hope not* Or don't tell me it's all a dream in the end? I'm about 70% done with it *crosses fingers* :)

  5. I think she probably just did not want to ruin the book for anyone. Since a major part of the book they could not have sex. Keep the mystery going for people who have not read it yet.

  6. Amber I. is right. I was trying to not give everything away. I'm sure there are people out there who haven't read it.

  7. Thank you, ladies! Now I can continue this book. I had put it down as UST that goes nowhere is my major pet peeve in a book.

Thanks so much for clearing this up, love y'all! :)
