Welcome to our new feature:
Randomly Random Interviews!
We here at AwesomeSauce missed featuring bloggers and getting to know them better. So instead of what we did before where we only talked books, now we are going to talk about lots of Randomness! And who doesn't love being random? Hope you Enjoy and make some new friends!!

So without Further Ado Please Welcome
Laura from Little Read Riding Hood
Little Read Riding Hood

Welcome to awesomesauce please tell us a little about you and your blog.
-Thanks for having me! My name is Laura and I started blogging at the end of March of this year. I love to read and don't have many 'real life' friends that obsess over books like I do. When I found Goodreads, I thought how perfect that was. But I felt like I needed another outlet. The final straw was in response to a giveaway from Stacia Kane where one of the entries was to blog about the newest release. I wanted that book SO BAD that I actually started the blog. :-) I didn't win it, but I have made so many friends and the community (a few bad apples aside) is so great that I am stuck now.

Embarrassing blogger moment?
-I am really good about catching other people's typos, but never seem to get my own. So the most embarrassing moment was when a fellow blogger sent me a message about a post where I misspelled the author's name!! How awful! I was so glad she caught it, and I fixed it immediately, so I hope no one else saw it! :-)

Best author moment?
-One of my very first posts talked about the book I was currently reading which happened to be Sacrificial Magic by Stacia Kane. I made a comment in there that basically I was such a fan girl that it didn't matter if it all turned out to be a dream in the end, that I would probably still love it. I got a comment from Ms. Kane jokingly stating that I had ruined the ending. (I attached a screen grab of the comment). I thought I was going to die! I was so happy that she had seen my tiny blog, and cared enough to comment. Made my week. :-)

Blogging is tough, what keeps you doing it?
-Honestly, the people. Everyone is so great. And I get to read and discover so many great books. It is worth all the effort and money spent.

If you could meet 5 of your favorite bloggers who would you pick?
-Oh shoot. Of course both Amber's from Awesomesauce. I have already met Christen from Goldilox and the Three Weres and Jenese from Reader's Confession, but all of the other Terrible Girls on on that list. And if I even try to list them all I will miss someone and feel like a jerk. A few that I talk to on a regular basis though are Jenn from Book Nympho, Maryia from Mystifying Reviews, Samina from Escapism from Reality, ... seriously, just all the girls are great.

Top 5 authors you want to meet?
-Stacia Kane, Amos Cassidy (co-authors, do they count as 1 or two?), Chelsea Cameron, M.R. Merrick, and Anne Rice.

Give us a teaser from the book you’re currently reading?
Well, I just finished Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. One of the passages that I highlighted that made me chuckle was

"Yes. Smashing. You'll be just like those four chaps in the movie. You know the one, with the oversized marshmallow."

You've got to be kidding me.

I about died, this was the third or fourth reference to Ghostbusters in the book and each time it was a needed giggle because that book is DARK. I loved it.

What is your favorite paranormal creature and why?
-Vampires. It has been since I was 10. They always seem so sad and lost, and I am definitely that girl that wants to "make it all better" even when that isn't possible. Plus, if I had eternity then I would get to read my entire TBR list. :-)

TV Show: Pushing Daisies. It should never have been canceled. Though I am on a big Roswell kick right now. Also canceled. :-(
Color: Dark Purple
Movie:  That's hard, but I would have to say Event Horizon. Best horror movie EVER.
Game: Um, well if you are talking sports, football. That's easy. If you mean like board game, then Settler's of Catan. Crazy complicated until you get it, then crazy fun!
Holiday: Thanksgiving. I like food.
Season: Well, I live in Florida, so we only have two seasons, Summer, and Less Summer. So I would have to go with Less Summer, which runs from October to April :-)
Guilty Pleasure: Reading. Duh. Or carbs. I love my starches. :-)

More About Laura:

My real name is Laura and I LOVE to read. I am currently obsessed with Urban Fantasy, and especially Stacia Kane’s Downside series, which is actually what inspired me to start this blog. My goal is to write at least one review per week, although my posts probably won’t stick to only book reviews. Sometimes I get a thought that just needs to be shared!
I currently live in Central Florida with my fiance, 3 dogs, and a cat. I work with dogs, so you could say my two favorite things are, well, books and dogs! Fortunately my other half supports both of these hobbies. :-)
I also run a book club, Edsel’s Hair of the Dog, through Goodreads, where you can read along some of my books with me! If you are interested in joining, just shoot me a message.

Find Her Around At:

Thanks so much Laura for being a part of our interview!! I love your blog and you! :) I hope to meet you one day at the many awesome conventions!

And before we go, we give our interviewees a chance to ask us a random question and
Laura is the first to do it!!
So here is the question she asked us.
And feel free to answer your self in the comments!

A genie grants you three wishes (no wishing for more wishes!) What are they?
Before I start, these will all be selfish. lol I just don't see a Genie granting world peace or keeping me and my family happy and safe. So I am going greedy fun mode.

  • How about a crazy amount of money. Hey don't judge me! lol I promise to use it for good! There are so many things I would do. Vacations to take, homes to buy, in house library, kids college to pay, and lots more.

  • To Lose weight. I know its weird, but damn it, its hard to lose it.

  • To let me play a part in the books I read instead of just reading them.

You know this is hard!!lol

~Amber I.

Mine are totally selfish too.
  • Money! I know it's not the solution to all problems. But god, it would make things easier. Pay off student loans, buy a house, a new car, I'd start my own business, and new purses! And shoes!
  •  To have a job that I don't actually despise.
  •  Write a best selling novel!

Really though, a never ending supply of money would solve a lot of my issues.

~Amber R.

  1. I hope to see you at one of the events one day. And having Stacia comment on your comment is so cool. I love her. Thanks so much for joining!!

  2. Thanks so much for having me! We will eventually meet, both of you are too cool for it not to happen!

    My 3 wishes would be:
    Money, and lots if it
The ability to stop time (you know, so I can read longer)
And the ability to be fit without working out and eating whatever I want!
