All werewolf packs need a sexual outlet. For south Florida’s Red Wolf pack, the sexy, liberated and infertile werewolf Lorena is it.

Not your average Were, Lorena satisfies the males like no other wolf can. But as much as she enjoys her role as pack mistress, she longs for something she’s never had. A mate she can call her own…

This book started up right where we left off in book two. However Lorena is up for a surprise when new pack members move in. The wife of one the new men stops by her house, much to Lorena's surprise, with a friendly face and an interesting introduction. Quickly after that things escalate, Lorena basically figures out who has been trying to scare her for the past few weeks. She is also starting to realize that maybe being a pack mistress isn't all she wants. Maybe she wants a real relationship. After an ominous late night visit from R.W., Lorena is starting to question more and more about the pack.

I really love this series, I really do. The story is great, I'm really interested to see where things are heading. Lorena is starting to realize that she's worth more than what she's always been taught. Even though the books are short, you get a good sense of the characters. My only complaint is how short they are. I get where the author is coming from but I seriously want more. And when we're left hanging for a couple months to only get another small glimpse of what's to come, I want to scream with frustration. I guess that's how we know Evelyn is an amazing author, who is giving us an amazing story.

  1. I hate when you are left wanting more from a book. I have a few of those. I think the first book I read like that was Hawksong. It ended out of no where. I thought we had so much more time. But it was all a lie.

Great short review. I should pick these up.

  2. A new author and a new series to me. I will definitely be checking these out. Maybe I should wait until more of them come out though so I don't have to wait to find out what happens next. :)
