I've been anxiously awaiting this book since the fifth in the series left us in such a cliffhanger. Ethan was alive, again, but what exactly had Mallory done to him? Where was Mallory and what exactly was she doing? What was the GP going to do with Cadogen House? These are all the questions we had when Drink Deep ended. At least, these are the questions I had.

Luckily, all these questions get answered for me. I don't want to give anything away but this book was awesome. It was non stop from the first chapter. Ethan and Merit are on the hunt for Mallory who is intent on messing things up for everyone. We do get some more information as to why Mallory went off the deep end. You can almost sympathize with her, almost. Former Mayor Tate is on the loose and acting bat shit crazy, so we of course run into him as well. Merit has been on the go since she became a vampire and things aren't slowing down anytime soon.

We have all these powerful groups that are in town also. So not only do we have Tate and Mallory basically trying blow up the world, we have The Order and the GP floating around Chicago as well. The GP is making things as complicated as possible. There is a distinct possibility that they are going to excommunicate the Cadogen House. Everyone is up in arms over that because what does that mean for the house? What's going to happen? The Order has obviously been severely lacking where Mallory is concerned or else she would have been stopped a long time ago. They obviously dropped the ball on that one.

And even though Ethan is back from the grave things aren't turning up roses for him and Merit. So you can see why this book is awesome and on the go. Chloe Neill does an excellent job of keeping everything clear and concise though. So even with all of these factors, they all intermingle and coincide together perfectly.  

I think that everyone on the Chicagoland Vampire band wagon will really like this book. I think the people who haven't read this series really need to get on with it. This is a really great series and these books are just flowing along quite nicely. This is one of those books that you start and you can't put down. You don't want to put it down, trust me, but it just paces right along so there's no lag in it at all. Obviously you'll need to pick up this book immediately.
