Here is this week's question:
Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don't like and LOVE it?Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.
Amber R- I feel like I'm pretty diverse in what I read. I'll read anything that's good. However, I stick mostly with paranormal/urban fantasy/mystery/romance type books. I'm into some good smut. Recently I read a fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, which I absolutely loved. A friend suggested I watch the show Game of Thrones and once I realized it was based on a series, I just had to read it. My friend wrote a collection of short stories that was published that I really enjoyed as well. I'm not usually a fan of short stories, my theory is the bigger the book the better. But he was able to put meat into those short stories and really give the reader a great story line.
Amber I- I really don't go too much out of my preferred genre. I mainly read anything that has vampires/werewolves/fairies/witches/ghosts and well you get the picture. I do read short erotic novellas with just plain ol' humans. But I have gone a little out there and have read a few historic romances but they do have some fantasy to them (so it might not count) but if it does then there is that. I never thought I would like historical romances but I loved the few I have read.
So how about you guys?
