Meet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.

Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.

Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?

In the words of my best friend (Amber I.), HOLY SEXCAPADES! From the first chapters of this book I was intrigued. Vivian is a 500+ year old vampire with some extraordinary, even for a vamp, mind powers. She runs an inn specifically for vampires who want to engage in more carnal pleasures in Alaska. Not to mention that Viv also has powers that enhance the other vamps sexual appetite. AND she is ready and raring to go all of the time. She lives with her human husband, Rafe who doesn't age due to their sharing of blood. And he is hot!

The sexcapades aren't the only thing going on in this book though. One of the humans has been murdered which is a huge no no. Vivian is on the hunt for the killer but she isn't sure who it could be. Everyone is a suspect including her guests. There are a lot of unexpected things that happen in the book. Vivian is the narrator and since she isn't sure what's going on, we're left hanging too. So it's nice that you can't automatically figure out what's going on.

If you're looking for a fun read, this could totally be your pick. Vivian is intriguing, Rafe is hot, all of the other characters are just as interesting. The story is good. The sex is hot. I mean, what else could you want? You should definitely check out this book.

  1. I have both books but when I gave the first one a try, I wasn't crazy over it. But the sex parts were awesome but the story/romance felt a little dry. Maybe I'll give it another whirl.

  2. I tried it too but didn't get into it enough. I might have to try again though.

  3. I don't think you have to go crazy over every book you read. But this one was definitely high enough on the solid meter to read through. And it was intriguing enough that I'm going to read the second one.

  4. I got this one a while ago as a free kindle read and haven't gotten to it yet. I thought it sounded interesting since it is a paranormal romance murder mystery. You just reminded me that I need to read it.

  5. Cute title...the story seems really interesting too. Great review!

  6. Thanks for giving my debut book a shot! It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I appreciate you giving it a whirl. I swear, I learn to write better after chapter ten or so ;-)

I liked the way book two came out better than book one, better story (and still some hot sex, although not as much as V V) and the third book is my favorite so far. That one really ratcheted up the tension with the dual plot lines. But hey, I am a little biased, right? :-D

Thanks so much for taking the time to not only read my book, Amber, but for your time and effort in posting a review, too. Really means the world to me!

Oh - and I love the blog overhaul you did. Looks gorgeous!

  7. I really liked the different perspectives in the second book. And I would love to read the third when it comes out. I appreciate the opportunity to read them and enjoy them. I love reviewing, it's even better when I like the book! So thanks for your kind words!

    1. Hi Amber -- the third book came out in late April. Email me at and I'd be happy to give you a reviewer's ecopy, just let me know what format you prefer.

I'm offering a huge contest that runs through the end of July on raffle copter. If you'd like to do a review of either books you're welcome to include it.
