She's a mortal with dark powers...

After a tragic accident scarred her body and destroyed her dreams, Leila never imagined that the worst was still to come: terrifying powers that let her channel electricity and learn a person's darkest secrets through a single touch. Leila is doomed to a life of solitude...until creatures of the night kidnap her, forcing her to reach out with a telepathic distress call to the world's most infamous vampire...

He's the Prince of Night...

Vlad Tepesh inspired the greatest vampire legend of all—but whatever you do, don't call him Dracula. Vlad's ability to control fire makes him one of the most feared vampires in existence, but his enemies have found a new weapon against him—a beautiful mortal with powers to match his own. When Vlad and Leila meet, however, passion ignites between them, threatening to consume them both. It will take everything that they are to stop an enemy intent on bringing them down in flames.

Holy crap Dracula falls for a Carny!lol At first I was like what the hell is going on, why  is there bearded ladies and all that. But then we see what Leila is and  you can see why she fits into this crowd. They don't judge her and they are generally nice people. I really wasn't so sure I was going to wrap my head around Leila's "ability" and think it could happen but I really did. Plus she proved to be someone that I just really liked. Vlad he is arrogant and cocky and well he just oozes sex me vibes. I was surprised at how fast he started pursing Leila but so not disappointed that he did.

Leila has had a pretty hard life after her accident she really can not touch anyone. But when she is kidnapped by vampires to try and use her special power she meets Vlad and he can touch her. How could a girl who hasn't been touched not fall for a sexy vampire who can actually touch and be touched by her? And when she does finally decides to stop resisting temptation, (which had me applauding) the sex was hot hot hot!! I have missed Jeaniene Frost's sexy scenes.

We see some characters from the other books (but not my Ian boooo. lol) Plus there is a lot of action to keep you anticipating what is going to happen next. I loved it.

My only disappointment is waiting until 2013 for the next book. Vlad has promised Leila everything, well everything except love and that is just not good enough for me! I can not wait to get to the next book and hopefully wear him down. Any fans of the Night Huntress series is surely going to love this one!

    1. It is like Cat and Bones in the beginning. I mean obviously different stories but the same feelings. And its HOT!! You know how the last few Night Huntress books are missing the hotness but this one totally has it. That sexual tension totally gets to you. I need the next in the series like yesterday. I loved it!

    3. The only reason I didn't include quotes is because I wouldn't read them unless I read the book already. I am weird. I don't read any teasers and well if its a book I know I want to read I don't even read the blurb. I like to experience everything as it happens. But I might be a weirdo.
