Journey to a world of ancient magic, breathtaking sensuality, thrilling time-travel.... Journey to the world of The Dark Highlander. Crisscrossing the continents and the centuries, here is a novel as gripping as it is sensual—an electrifying adventure that will leave you breathless....

I am Dageus MacKeltar, a man with one good conscience and thirteen bad ones, driven to sate my darkest desires…
From his penthouse lair high above Manhattan, Dageus looks out over a glittering city that calls to the darkness within him. A sixteenth-century Scot trapped between worlds, he is fighting a losing battle with the thirteen Druids who possess his soul, dooming him to an eternity of sexual pursuit. When Chloe Zanders, student of antiquities, is drawn into his world, she finds the insatiable alpha male an irresistible lure. Before long, she is caught up in an ancient prophecy that will sweep her back into time to medieval Scotland. Plunged into a world of timeless magic and dark seduction, she will soon face the challenge of a lifetime: fighting thirteen evil spirits for the heart of one irresistible man..

Oh man am I soo HAPPY I went back to read this book! Yes like a dumb ass I skipped it. I mean these books need to be labeled better on what # they are. I am getting old, I forget. So anyways I read the 6th book first and then went back to this book and I am SOOO GLAD I did. I was excited to see Dageus from the moment I first met him I wanted to get his story. And it was well worth it! He was everything I thought he would be.

Dageus broke an oath to save his brothers life, he is now possessed with 13 evil souls. If he lets them take over the world as we know it could be over. He is strong though and has been fighting it for years. One of the things that helps him is having sex, which since he is pretty much a sex god that is not a problem.. That is until he finds his mate, and she is a stubborn, virgin who thinks he is a thief and a womanizer and also scared for her life since he did seem to kidnap her.....

I would seriously have to sit here and tell you the whole story for you to understand my love of this book. I swear this one has to be my favorite. I am seriously sitting here trying to make Amber-Lass sound good together. See he calls Chloe, Chloe-Lass and well to me that is just freaking hot. I want Amber-Lass to sound as good as that does. Oh I could write a mini book on my drooling over him, I need to move on...

There is also some old characters we get to meet up with. I loved getting to travel back to Nelle and Silvan. And seeing Drustan and Gwen. The story here is fantastic. Its a one sit read. Everything to me was amazing, but I am having a hard time not gushing over Dageus!! Let me say though that Chloe totally held her own. She was strong and loveable. I mean she lost her virginity a day after she time travels (which she had no idea was possible) in a different century, thinking she was off for a horse ride, to be chased and tackled and well you get the picture. It might sound kinda weird but trust me it was hot and Chloe totally enjoyed herself..

If you haven't noticed me gushing on this series, well you need to get it together and go get these books!! The Highlander men will haunt your fantasies!!!!

  1. I haven't been able to find a highlander series to really take my interest or that I enjoyed reading, but I haven't read this particular series so I think I might have to give these a go! Great review!

  4. LOL! I hate that books aren't numbered either. I've made that same screw up countless times.

Got these KMM Highlander's on my TBR pile. Summer reading by the lake (think I'll need to cool off in the water?)

    1. Oh yes you will. And that sounds like so much fun reading by the lake. I want to do that.

I hope you enjoy these books as much as I do. I am about to start the last one. But I seriously think this one will go down as my favorite.

  5. Lol...I know what you mean about labeling them better. When you go to buy on amazon they don't even mention what book it is. I have to go to the authors site and figure it out for myself. Or they should just put it small on the bottom of the book. I'm going to have to read this other series from KMM. Thanks for sharing.

    1. They really should have the book numbers on the book and on the title on amazon. Its so annoying. And these books all sound similar to. Its so confusing. I love this series, you should totally check them out.
