Armchair BEA Day 3

Wednesday, June 6, 2012

For Day 3, we want you to share your positive experiences of using your blog to get involved in your community.

We'd say this year has been the most lucrative for us in the blogger-sphere. We went to the RT convention in Chicago. We are part of the Dark Days of Summer event that is going on currently. We are going to be the official "live bloggers" on Thursday at Cover to Cover in Columbus. These are all really exciting things that we would have never got to be a part of if not for our website. We met Rachel Caine at the the RT convention. We were able to talk with her for a long period of time about her current projects and upcoming projects. We were able to meet other bloggers and we made a lot of connections. We're hoping that the same thing happens when we do the event on Thursday.

Amber I. is a frequent visitor to her local library. Amber R. has actually met a local author through her job. We are setting up an interview and some other fun things with her soon.

So there are a lot of things going on and things that have happened. We're just hoping that we continue to have great opportunities, making good memories, and meeting awesome people.

  10. I am hoping we can meet more authors and bloggers soon. I have made so many blogger friends that I would just love to meet. They feel like my real life friends. I would also love to go to a full convention. We just went to the signing at RT. Couldn't afford the full one.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Comments are one of the most awesomest things about blogging!!
