If you have not yet read Starcrossed then you might not want to read this review, there will be spoilers to book 1.
Let me say that I am just heart broken about Lucas and Helen, I want to find out now that they ARE NOT cousins, I really don't trust Helens mom and I think that these two are suffering for no reason. Also it will totally make me feel better if I am not wanting cousins to just be together, lol And since I am on my complaining roll, I AM SO SO MAD! I did not under any circumstances want there to be a love triangle. But of coarse I don't get what I want.
Seriously though this book was just addicting. I could not stop reading it There is so much happening. Poor Helen has to go to the underworld every night and face horrible situations. She is lonely, not sleeping and she really has no one she can talk to or anyone to help or comfort her. Lucas is also going through problems and is pulling away from his family and discovering some powers no one knows he has. He is much darker in this book and my heart was breaking for the both of them.
Then there is Ordin, who I totally planned on not liking. But of coarse I kind of do. He is nice. But he should totally remain just in the friend zone!! He really was there for Helen when no one else was and was able to help her in the under world. But he is close to her mom and well I don't trust her mom not at all.
There is seriously so much happening in this book. You just have to run out and read it as fast as you can! But be prepared the ending is a cliffhanger! It seems that no matter how hard Helen tries there is always someone plotting and now everything is going to change! I can not wait to see what will happen next!
