Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarre connection. I’ve sworn him off even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But against all common sense, I’m falling for him. Hard.

Our relationship issues aren’t out biggest problem…

The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And when a new boy shows up a school with a secret of his own, things get complicated fast. I need to choose between my own instincts and Daemon’s.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. Daemon’s never going to stop searching until gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies.

 My Thoughts

I am sure Obsidian fans are going to wonder how, but Onyx was even better then the first!! While reading it I just wanted the world to go on pause, I wanted it to be me and this book and nothing else. The story was intense, the emotions were high, the swoon moments were off the charts and I was glued to each and every page until the very end!

Oh and then there is Daemon and if you loved him before be prepared to be swooning your little hearts out here. He showed us the most sweetest of sweet sides and even had moments where I was tearing up. But do not be afraid he still had his sarcastic ass like self moments too. Lucky for us fans though he played a major role in here and I loved every second of it.

We get soo many shocks in this book. I can not even get into most of them without giving anything away. But the DOD is in town and things are not looking good. Not only does Katy need to fear for her friends but now she may have to fear for her family too. So much is uncovered!  And if you are worried about the new boy well I will says its not really a love triangle and that all you Daemon lovers should be okay.lol

Onyx was just an intense read. I was so excited to get it and it totally blew any expectations I would ever of had for a second book in  a series. So much happens in this book and the ending left me wanting book 3 here like yesterday.lol If you haven't yet you must go get Obsidian now!! Onyx is going to be on my mind for days to come and probably make it hard for me to get into another book for a while, yes it is that AWESOMESAUCE!

  5. This is a good story about a teen who discovers she has super powers. Unable to control them at first she gains more control with help from others/aliens. I liked it so much I bought the next in the series. Suspenseful. You'll want to know what happens next.
