Here is this week's question:
Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.
Faythe from the Shifter series by Rachel Vincent. At first I really liked her, she was kick ass and took no crap. But as the series went on the more I started to hate her. Now its hard for me to even look at the beginning books and think I liked her. Even thinking about her now makes me want to hit her!
Eugenie from Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead, if I could hit her I would. I liked her the first book or 2 but there is no love for her anymore. She is a DUMB ASS!! I can't get into her dumb ass'ness without wanting to hit something so I am moving on.
And that is all I got!lol I am sure there are more but my brain is not working. I had to look over my bookshelves just to remember these 2.

Totally excellent choices and I agree with you 100 percent!

Ahahaha!!!! Eugenie was my pick!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI know I'm in the minority, but I love Faythe!! :) Even though she hurts my Marc!!
Happy Friday!! Welcome to FF!! XO
Oh Miss Vain why?? Faythe is totally selfish. She is mean. There was no reason for some of the things she did. Okay I am walking away from this.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am glad others agree with me.
And HI Eileen, as you can see on your post I followed you back! :)
Oh no, not Faythe!
ReplyDeleteI agree about Eugenie. Hated her in the last book.
I only just started these series, and so far I'm still enjoying the characters. LOL. Well, so far. :P

I haven't read either of those, but thanks for the warning. I probably wouldn't have liked Faythe anyway -- I have a slightly unreasonable prejudice against characters with normal names and weird spellings lol.
ReplyDeleteI followed via Networked Blogs.

Hopping through. Too bad you changed your mind about these characters. I want to read both series.

Good call! I ALMOST used JAce HAmmond for mine. Unfortunately, I was never much a fan of Faythe, and I really didn't like her around books 4 and 5, lol!
ReplyDeleteAnd I"m right there with you re: Eugenie. Grrrrr...
