Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.And then he opened his mouth.Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me.You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.

 My Thoughts

I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to like Obsidian, it took me a while to read it. But  holy cow, once I started I seriously could not put it down. I read it in one sitting! What really glued me to the pages was Daemons and Katys love hate thing they had going. Yes Daemon spends a lot of his time being an ass and pushing her away but the chemistry with those two was just too much for me to care!lol I have no idea what that says about me, but I was in love with Daemon.Oh and he called her KITTEN!! (you know who that reminds me of.)

  “Holy Hawt Chemisty, Batman!”

One of my other favorite things was that Katy was a book blogger. It was so fun seeing her talk about Waiting on Wednesday or In My Mailbox  posts and getting new books in the mail. I always had to smile when those things were brought up. Katy was just an awesome heroine. I loved her personality. She is strong, funny and doesn't take crap from anyone.

"Oh. Dear. Baby. Jesus. How did he find it? Wait. More importantly was the fact that he had found it. Was my blog googleable? That was awesomesauce with an extra heaping of sauce."

We can see right away that something isn't normal with Daemon and his sister Dee but once you find out its pretty surprising, Its a unique twist in the paranormal world. Obsidian is a MUST read! I am in love with it. Katy and Daemon had amazing chemistry, I loved their banter and every time they were together. Yes he was sometimes a little too mean but in the end you can see his reasoning. There is a lot of action going on and peoples lives are in danger. Katy shows us how strong she is even if she is only a human!! So if you haven't yet I really suggest you go pick up this book. Its addicting!!!

“Because this is absolutely insane - the craziest thing I'd ever done. Worse than giving a one-star review, scarier than asking for an interview with an author I'd give my firstborn to eat lunch with, more stupid than kissing Daemon”

If you already read and loved Obsidian, I think you would love this book too.

  8. I got this as an RAK, but I didn't know the MC was a book blogger. That's hilarious. I want to read the book for that reason alone. The hot guy doesn't hurt at all, either.

  10. A book blogger being a protagonist? That's cool. I guess it would be easy to relate to her. Looking forward to reading this. :-D
