A laird trapped between centuries...
Enchanted by a powerful spell, Highland laird Drustan MacKeltar slumbered for nearly five centuries hidden deep in a cave, until an unlikely savior awakened him. The enticing lass who dressed and spoke like no woman he'd ever known was from his distant future, where crumbled ruins were all that remained of his vanished world. Drustan knew he had to return to his own century if he was to save his people from a terrible fate. And he needed the bewitching woman by his side....

A woman changed forever in his arms...
Gwen Cassidy had come to Scotland to shake up her humdrum life and, just maybe, meet a man. How could she have known that a tumble down a Highland ravine would send her plunging into an underground cavern — to land atop the most devastatingly seductive man she'd ever seen? Or that once he'd kissed her, he wouldn't let her go?

Bound to Drustan by a passion stronger than time, Gwen is swept back to sixteenth-century Scotland, where a treacherous enemy plots against them ... and where a warrior with the power to change history will defy time itself for the woman he loves.

My Thoughts

The first 100 pages of this book I just wasn't sure if I was going to get hooked. Not that they were not good it just seemed like the same old thing was going to happen again in this book. A highlander, a virgin, some time travel and some good ol' sexin.lol But then when we travel back in time well I was hooked. Seriously hooked I stayed up far too late and only managed 3 hrs of sleep because I could not stop reading it. So if you find the beginning a bit slow, please trust me going to want to keep reading.

I loved both characters. Even from the beginning. Gwen has a fun personality, she just has an awesome sense of humor. One my favorite things is she goes on this vacation to Scotland looking for a "cherry picker" (as she calls it) which is her way of saying she is looking for a man to take her virginity. Every time she would say that I had to chuckle.

Then of coarse there is Drustan who is just a big hunk of a lollipop who is extremely lickable. (just ignore me while I think my sayings are clever.) While I liked him too in the beginning, I found him like 100 times sexier in the past. I think its because he was hard to get. I don't know what that says about me but the harder he fought his attraction the more attracted I was to him. Plus he is not only a highlander he has some magic to him.

I loved when we were at the castle. I loved all the characters there. Seriously they were all great his dad, Nell and of coarse his brother. They all brought something to the story and I loved it all!

The chemistry (once we are back in Drustans century) was totally hot. I have no idea why this part seemed way more hot to me then when Gwen was the one resisting him, but it was. Then once you think she has fixed the past, you get a crazy surprise twist. I seriously did not at all under any circumstances see this coming. Of coarse I knew there would be something that goes wrong but not this! It was totally shocking!! After you get to this part everything seems doomed, but we know we are done with the book yet then we get another awesome surprise.lol (I know you are probably thinking how vague could I be?)

This book is going down as one of my favorites in the series. I think it could even be my favorite! Hmmm this is a tough declaration to make. It may be tied with Grimms book, but I honestly think it may even beat that. Okay I will stop rambling! Just go check it out now.!!

  3. Oh yes! how can you not love the Mackeltars, and everything KMM puts out? I like these books, but the Fever series takes the cake.

Thanks for sharing your review! Vague just means that it is so good that you don't want to give anything away. (-; I get your lollipop humor too.
