A vacation in Greece sounds like the perfect way for Kate Winters to spend her first sabbatical away from the Underworld...until she gets caught up in an immortal feud going back millennia. Castor and Pollux have been on the run from Zeus and Hades's wrath for centuries, hiding from the gods who hunt them. The last person they trust is Kate, the new Queen of the Underworld. Nevertheless, she is determined to help their cause. But when it comes to dealing with immortals, Kate still has a lot to learn.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Goddess Interrupted so I did read these out of order. I read 1 then 2 then came back to this 1.5. Still worth it! Its a short read and there is really no romance (sorry I cling to any romance I can between Henry and Kate) But we get inside Henrys head, and well that is totally worth it. I wish we could be in his head more but what I got was good enough.
We see what happened on Kates first week on her time off. It was neat meeting some new characters and seeing what they went through. I loved seeing her stand up to a member of the council and her get to see the other side of things. But most importantly I loved seeing Henry. I liked seeing how he really thinks of things. Since I read them out of order it was nice after the heartache in the 2nd book to just know a few certain things. I can't tell you just in case you have not read it yet.
So if you are looking for a fix between books then you should definitely read this!! Plus like I keep saying we get inside Henry's head, that should see you right there. Also for anyone who has not read this series, please go now and buy book 1 The Goddess Test!!
