Review by Amber I.

Mason, a true ladies man and a big teddy of a bear, is on a mission to protect the shifter community. Who is he to complain if that task requires him to guard FUC’s tech wizard—a curvy mocha hottie who knows how to bring him to his knees.

Jessie has no patience for a bear who flirts every time he breathes. Despite his appeal, and smoking good looks, she refuses to give in to his charm. She can’t because this swan princess is already promised to another.

When an evil mastermind sets his sights on her, will one playful bear be enough to save her feathery tail from danger? And if Mason manages to steal her heart who will save him from her daddy—the not-so-nice swan king?

Warning: Giggling is a strong possibility as are snickers, snorts and full out, belly laughs. This humorous, erotic romance also contains scenes of extreme hotness, titillation is expected so make sure to have spare underpants on hand. Please note, a poor unsuspecting playbear was turned into a monogamous husband during the making of this story.

  My Thoughts

I was in love with this book. It was a one sitting read. I seriously could not put it down. Mason was so funny, I will share some quotes with you in this review because he totally quoted Joey from friends and I loved it!! And Jessie was just a geeky, curvy (not just in the right places either) and was not falling for the new manwhore of the office.... or so she thought.

"Hi. How you doing?" Okay, so he borrowed-ahem, stole-that line from Joey off the show friends. How could he resist? The man was  pure genius when it came to getting women.

I love a story where there is obvious sexual tension but it is not acted on right away, it just builds that awesome suspense. Mason wanted Jessie right away and while Jessie might seem attracted to him, she shot him down every chance she got. Mason doesn't go down without a fight though and in the process of trying to get into her pants, the play-bear  ends up becoming a one woman man.

Eve Langlais always knows how to get her readers fully into a story. She delivers action, suspense, mystery, her characters are always fun to get to know and extremely HOT when they finally get it on. You will be laughing out loud, fanning yourself and totally glued to the pages in Swan and the Bear. I love seeing these two walls crumple and see how Mason falls in love and Jessie starts feeling sexy and finally starts to trust her feelings. We also see our grumpy ol' bear and his energizer bunny and there are a few surprises there. Eve also left us off with the starting of a new book and I am super excited for that!!! This is a must read!!

Things I love the most:

Jessie is not a skinny girl with curves in all the right places. She in my head is kinda chunky, sort of nerdy but Mason thinks she is drop dead sexy.

Mason is hilarious. He is always cracking jokes, making sexual references and I was totally in love with him. He also totally loves every curvy inch of Jessie and makes her feel beautiful!

A Fun Scene That Made Me Laugh:

"You are such a freaking moron. I wouldn't have sex with you if all the dildos in the world turned into birds and flew away."

"You have a dildo?"

"No!" She yelled vehemently, but she couldn't hide the telltale blush in her cheeks.

"You do, don't you?" he replied. "That is so freaking hot."

"Get Out!"

"But I want to hear more about your dildo use. Like, do you use lotion or just natural lube?"

He ducked as a stapler came flying his way. Then dodged as her keyboard followed. As he darted out the door, he couldn't help his parting, "Do you use Duracell or Energizer?"

You should totally go check this book out!

  1. Haha that dildo scene is just way too funny. Is Mason a shifter? Does he change into a cute bear or something? I've never encountered a funny erotica before. Might just be checking this one out. :)

    1. Oh and yes Mason shifts into a bear and Jessie into a swan.

  2. I love Eve Langlais. If you haven't yet should totally check her out. I can recommend lots of my favorites from her.

  3. Ha! That is a funny excerpt and it sounds like a good opposites attract story.

    Thanks for the share!

  4. Oh and if anyone elses notices yes I totally messed up the girls name in my review. I wrote Jennie not Jessie It is fixed now. Some kind girl so nicely pointed this out to me by telling the author I should proof read my posts on facebook. Oh that was not embarrassing at all. So it is fixed. If anyone ever notices something can you please privately tell me.lol

Anyways, Sophia, I love Eve Langlais and am going to be doing a giveaway soon with this book and the first one Bunny and the Bear.

  5. Both Bunny and the Bear and Bunny and the Swan are on my wish list, Now I may just have to move them up, (shh, don't tell my husband I am on restriction)

    1. your secret is safe with me, and you should totally move these books up on your list. It would be worth it.
