J It’s always nice to spread the 18 & Over Book Blog love!

Question of the Week:

Do you read multiple books at a time or stick to one?

I read one book at a time. I can not read more then 1 at all. I love getting totally into a book. I can not even read another book until I review the one I read. My mind needs to stayed focused on one task at a time.lol.. Or I might get confused or forget things. Maybe it has something to do with that I am turning 30 in 1 year and 3 months (not that I am keeping track or anything)

  1. *sigh* Only 30, if only. I have to take notes when I do three or more, but if it is a book that I adore. It gets my full attention.

  2. Same here I only read one book at a time!

I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  3. I only read one at a time because I think a good book deserves my full attention. And if it's an amazing read then everything else just seems to not exist for me anyway. LOL

  4. It looks like I'm a loner, lol.
I tend to read more than one book--it just depends.

  5. Congratulations on turning 30 soon. Or shouldn't I mention it. lol

I do a bit of both depending on what I'm reading. When I'm into a book, especially with category romance, I don't read anything else until I'm done. For some longer reads, I take a break and read something else before going back to finish the book.

I'm a new follower. Enjoy your weekend.

  6. I tend to read more than one book at a time. Paperback at home, Kindle in my purse for when I'm out, audio books for when I'm cleaning or driving long distances and need my hands free. Or sometimes doing text-to-speech on my Kindle when I don't have an audio book to listen to.

    Wit and Sin

  7. I've never understood how bloggers can read multiple books at a time. I tried it once and it was not enjoyable for me. I couldn't submerge myself into that world the author created. It almost felt like a job instead of a hobby. It might work for some but not this girl =)

  8. LOL! This question always gets me into trouble. I do not have focus issues, but in this one area I seem too. I read about three or four books at a time generally. I only focus on one over another when the plot gets extremely interesting. My reading choices are from different genres too.

  9. If a story doesn't hold my interest and I want to go read something else I never go back to the other book. I read for fun so honestly if a book does not intrigue me enough to keep reading I give it up. If you can read more then one awesome book at a time then that is awesome. My brain just doesn't work that way.lol

Oh and I am so not happy about turning 30.lol. I have been panicking since I turned 25. I have no idea why I am so freaked out about it.

  10. I am the exact same way. I cannot keep track of stories if I try to read a new book before I review the last one.

  11. I will at times have three books going at the same time. This is primarily because I use ereaders and sometimes both of them will want to be charged at the same time. This way I am prepared and I have cued the next read when I finish my current read. Also sometimes I will read something I have committed to reading and it may not be right for my mood and that way I can give it a fare shake by switching off and coming back when I am more receptive to the story content :) Yes I know I am an oddball, but I rarely do anything or go anywhere without a book, as my reading time is my downtime and I have to grab it when I can.

  12. I'm the same way with reading but I have a habit of letting my reviews pile up. I have a problem with wanting to devour all these books and I just don't want to stop to write about them. Luckily though I have a pretty good memory and remember the stories like I watched a movie. LoL
Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for participating!
