Obviously I can not do December, I will fill it in after December though.

Worst Books:
This will be hard for me, we all know how  I am about not liking books. Instead of saying these books were horrible I will just say it had things I did agree with.

Iron Crowned by Richelle Mead- Oh Eugenie you really pissed me off like a crazy person!
Awakened by PC Cast- I just feel they are totally dragging these books out!
Ascend by Amanda Hocking- I was really unhappy at who the girl ended up with
One Grave at a Time- Now I liked this book. I like all the books I've mentioned but this was missing something besides lack of sex. It just wasn't like the old Cat and Bones. It was more of a filler book to me.
Supernaturally by Kiersten White- This was also missing something for me. Still good.
Okay that is all I can Obviously there were some books I just didn't care for but I am not that mean so I choose books from series I liked but wasn't really happy with parts of the specific book.

Amber R's Picks:

I can't do mine like Amber's. First of all, she obviously has some crazy OCD. Just kidding. So mine is going to be a little different. I'm going to just go by book and tell you why I liked it or why I didn't.

The Jolie Wilkins series by H.P. Mallory: I loved all of these books. They were so good. There wasn't one thing that I didn't not like about them. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

The Dulcie O'Neill series by H.P. Mallory: Again, nothing I didn't love. Can not wait for the next book.

Last Breath by Rachel Caine: Such a shocking book. I did not see hardly any of it coming. My mind was racing through the whole thing. Such a great book this year.

Fever series by Karen Marie Moning: I read this entire series in less than a week. Probably one of my favorite series of all time. Definitely goes on the best list.

Drink Deep by Chloe Neill: Amazing. Ethan's back. All is well in the world. Perfection.

Luck of the Devil by Patricia Elmer: I thought this book was hilarious. So many hijinks.

Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward: All of you BDB fans are going to hate me after this. But I really didn't like these books. I could not get into them and I tried several times. I don't know what it is.. just not a fan. Sorry! Don't hate me!

One Grave at a Time by Jeaniene Frost: Loved it! Amber I. didn't but she knows nothing. ;)

Vampire Relationship Guide Series by Evelyn Lafont: Super cute and funny.

Awakened by P.C. Cast: Is it wrong that I'm just over the HON books? They've been drug out and I'm almost at that point where I don't even want to read the rest. I probably will just because I want to know what happens. But I'm over them. Zoey needs to get it together.

Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris: I liked it but it felt like a filler to me.

Iron Crowned by Richelle Mead: This book made me so mad, so mad!

Okay these are my picks! I hope no one is too mad at me!

Touch of the Angel (Demons of Infernum, #3)Touch of the Angel (Demons of Infernum #3)

Paperback, 286 pages
Expected publication: December 6th 2011 by Entangled Publishing, LLC
Review by Amber I.
After months of no work, interdimensional bounty hunter Ronin Meyers jumps at the chance to locate an incubus who’s using succubi as murder weapons. Faced with the possibility of being forced to return to hellish Infernum if he fails, Ronin and his brothers will stop at nothing to take out the incubus and anyone else involved—even the beautiful succubus who stole his heart, then nearly his life, during the most mind-blowing hour of his existence.

Night after night, Amara and her fellow succubi are forced to extract special abilities from the strongest Otherworlders for their psychotic master’s growing collection. When the gorgeous angel-demon hybrid she believed to be dead captures her, Amara is both stunned and elated. But the happily ever after she’s dreamed of will have to wait. Together, they must bring down the madman hellbent on destroying them…and become each other’s salvation in the process.

 My Thoughts

Rosalie Lario has become one of my favorite authors! Her books always give me exactly what I want, a nice romance, some sexy moments, lots of action and just an amazing book!!

Ronin is a half angel half demon. He is in a slump with no jobs coming in and two of his brothers finding their loves he just seems lonely. In walks Amara and he his instantly drawn in.  She seems equally attracted to him but she tries to back away. Ronin persists and after a little sexual encounter he almost ends up dead because of it!

Ronin taking after his brothers pretty much kidnaps Amara (something that seems to work out nicely for him and his brothers lol) He keeps her with him convincing himself  she could be valuable since her master is the one they are suppose to take out.  They can't help but be drawn together but its impossible to get to close seeing as she could kill him. They find some loopholes but without the sex she needs Amara only has a few days to live. Ronin knows an incubus Amara could feed from but its going to hurt him, hes falling in love with her.

I loved this book, as you can see I am going on and on about it. It was very romantic. Two people who face impossible circumstances fall in love. They have to stop Amaras incubus master so there is lots of action. We also see all the others we have loved in the other two books. I just couldn't put this book down. I am in love with these hybrid demons! And Rosalie has gave me a whole new love for angels!

Ronin and Amara will steal your hearts and when they are together you will be glued to the pages. Not only do you see them slowly fall in love you get some crazy hot and sexy moments!  Demons of Infernum is a must read series for any paranormal romance book lover!

Don't miss out. Check out the other 2 books in the series below:

Real Vampires Have Curves Review

Sunday, November 27, 2011

Real Vampires Have Curves (Glory St. Clair, #1)Real Vampires Have Curves (Glory St. Clair #1)

What-did you think all vamps were pale, thin and brooding? Don't I wish.

Gloriana St. Clair is an eternally "full-figured" vampire-she just happened to be bloating when a sexy Scotsman sank his teeth into her. She and said Scot- Angus Jeremiah Campbell III, aka Jeremy Blade-have been on and off again for centuries, currently off. A couple hundred years has taught them how to press each other's buttons-in good ways and bad.

Glory's headed for Austin and a new business venture: Vintage Vamp's Emporium. After all, she loves clothes, and she is an antique. Only problem is, there's a billionaire techno-freak vampire hunter on the loose. Blade's in total he- vampire mode, and wants Glory to move in with him so he can "protect" her. But it's time for this vamp to explore her own powers.

My Thoughts
I found out about this series from some of the lovely ladies on our Facebook page and I couldn't be more happy about it. This book was great and I can't wait to read more from this series. If you guys haven't read it yet, then you definitely need too.

Glory is a vampire that's just trying to live her life. She's working and trying to figure out her love life. She just moved to Austin, Texas and she is starting a new business. Just your regular woman. Except for the fact that someone is trying to kill all the vampires in Austin, her on again, off again ex is trying to get her to do whatever he wants, there's a new bad boy vamp who is trying to get with her lovely lady lumps, and a whole mess of other stuff going on.
I love Glory. She starts off uncertain about herself and her vampy powers but she quickly gains confidence. She's a great leading lady. She definitely holds her own, especially with all the macho men types that are all around her. Not only was she great but I loved all the supporting characters as well. You get to see a lot of them and some fun personalities.

I'm hoping that Glory ends up with Blade. I can see why she gives him a hard time but really she should just give in. He's too hot not too! Lol. I know this is only the first book in the series I've read but I'm looking forward to the next books. If you haven't read them, like I said, you definitely should!

YA Heroine Tournament

Saturday, November 26, 2011

Claire made it to the tournament!! I will be her advocate and will try and get her as far as I can. Obviously I will need your help. She is going against Hermione on December 5th. If you have any ideas on what to make her a winning case please leave a comment. Here are some things to think about....

1. About Her

(This is where you describe your heroine—physical description, personality, the world she lives in—tell us what we need to know to love her, considering some people might not have read the book she is from).

2. Best Attributes

(YA Lit is filled with female characters. What makes your girl stand out? Heroines aren’t cookie cutter replicas of each other—they should bring something unique to the game)

3. What makes your girl a true heroine?

(“Heroine” means different things to many people. We see a heroine as someone readers are inspired by. She faces the world head on—whether it’s a world of demons, vampires, or high school snobs. This is the place to tell us what Heroine means to you, and why your girl best represents the word).

If you haven't read this series, well you should. But Claire it perfect for the nomination.
She is super smart was accepted in to College at 16!
She lands herself in a mess with vampires but even though she is just a normal human she somehow always manages to kick some ass. She never backs down and will always go out of her way to help her friends. She is one of the toughest girls out there! Not in physical strength but with determination! She is clever and even most vampires respect her. She has saved the citizens and vamps in Morganville time and time again. She has a great sense of humor especially considering her life or a life of someone she loves is always in danger. She is kind even to people who don't deserve it. She puts her life on the line all the time to save people.  She also managed to tame the bad boy Shane.

Every round she wins I will add a Morganville Book for a giveaway!

Bunny and the Bear

Bunny And The BearBunny And The Bear

Published August 11th 2011
Review by Amber I.

Bears and bunnies aren’t supposed to mix, or that’s what Chase keeps telling himself when his bouncy new neighbor won’t stay out of his business—and his mind. However, the more he gets to know his overly perky neighbor, the more he craves her—naked in his grasp—a desire worse than his addiction to honey and pie.

Miranda’s on a mission for the Furry United Coalition, and it involves secretly guarding one grumpy ol’ bear. Staying focused on the job isn’t easy when all she can think about is turning his frown upside down, a task made harder when she gets a glimpse of his passion. When she hears about his theory on woodland creatures and predators not mixing, she thinks all is lost, but she didn’t count on a bear’s curious nature—and possessive need.

When an evil force abducts Chase, Miranda unleashes her bunny in order to save him, but the revelation of her shifter side puts her in danger. Is one ornery bear enough to save her from a mad scientist? And if he does, can a bear forget her woodland creature status long enough to love her and make her his mate?

Warning: Pies were harmed in the making of this story and naughty references made about honey that might offend some readers.

 My Thoughts
Whats more fun then an opposites attract story with lots and lots of mind blowing sex? That's a rhetorical question no need for answers!

Chase when we first meet him is a grumpy ol' bear, set in his ways. Then in walks Miranda like an energizer bunny to shake up his world. Chase fights is attraction to her but his thoughts always betray his lust. Miranda not being an ordinary woodland creature but actually a bad ass fighter with a few secret tricks up her sleeve fights hers too, since the only reason she met him was because it was her job to keep him safe. These two battle it out with things their body clearly wants and in the end of coarse their animal lust wins!!

Chase and Miranda totally balanced each other out! I loved them together their banter was always fun and I loved watching Miranda break into his boundaries. There was a nice action story going with it since shifters were disappearing and dying and Chase was on the list as one of the soon to be victims!

The story ends knowing their will be more, and next time I really want to get to know who is the mastermind behind these evil acts. What is his purpose and who is exactly is he?

If you love a nice erotic shifter book, you will love this! Eve Langlais always delivers with some nice steamy scenes and amazing story!

Jealous and Freakn' Giveaway Blitz

Friday, November 25, 2011

Francine’s loved Mitchell, a wolf like herself, since she first set eyes on him back when they were just kids. However, Mitchell’s never seen her as more than another annoying sister. Determined to make him realize she’s all grown up, she enlists the aide of Alejandro, a gorgeous cat shifter. She never counted on wanting them both.

Alejandro knows Francine is special from the first moment he meets the fiery plump wolf, which is why he suggests she use him to make Mitchell jealous. A great plan, especially if it means he gets to kiss those luscious lips. One taste, though, and he’s addicted, but how does he make her see past the man she loves to realize she’s also meant to be his mate?

For a long time now, Mitchell’s been avoiding Francine, his bratty sister’s friend. However, the little girl he remembers is all grown up, and when he sees her in the arms of another, a need to claim her overrides all his common sense. But, he’s waited too long and fate has decided that he’s going to have to share. Can he bend enough to accept Francine with her other man, or will his freakn’ jealousy send him running?

Warning: Excessive amounts of heat may be generated when reading this story. Do not sit or stand near flammable objects unless they happen to be your partner. Please note, that while the heroes sustained injuries during the course of the story, Francine did eventually kiss them all better, naked of course. This is a ménage romance, with heavy emphasis on the romance. It does contain multi partner, sexual situations that some people may find titillating. Reader discretion is advised.

You know how when a girl has two awesome men to choose from and even us as readers have such a hard time trying to decide who we like more? Well Eve Langlais loves us and doesn't make us make such a tough decision, she gives us them both!!!

Francine has known Mitchell was her mate since childhood, and has chased him since. But Mitchell refuses to see her as anything more then a "sister" since she is his sisters best friend. He starts going out of his way to avoid her. Then in walks Jag and he takes notice to Francine and this awakens Mitchell's jealous side.

I loved Jag and Francine together, he can definitely keep up with her banter. Jag realized she was special from the moment he met her and they both have this instant connection. He even goes out of his way to try and help her win Mitchell. I was almost like Mitchell who??  But knowing how much Francine loved Mitchell he still held that special spot with me. Mitchell finally sees what he is about to miss out on and comes to his senses, but now instead of getting her to himself he will have to share because Francine has met her other mate.

Its not an easy 3 some love story. Mitchell doesn't like sharing. Jag will do whatever to make Francine happy and once Mitchell sees how hard it is on her, he does what he can to make her happy!

I loved Jealous and Freakn'! It was insanely hot, had such a sweet romance and there were a lot of things for the three of them to over come. Eve Langlais always knows how to deliver some awesome sexin! This story kept me glued to it and I finished it one sitting! Definitely book porn shelf-ability worthy!!

I have to admit, I'm not usually a huge fan of the threesome books. However, I completely have changed my mind thanks to Eve! Francine is a feisty woman with a wicked sense of humor. She is a "lusty", as she puts it, woman who is waiting for her mate to wake up and stop being so stubborn. Unfortunately she has to wait. He is super stubborn. Not too mention there is a new guy sniffing around Francine.

Once that her mate, Mitchell, figures out that the new guy, Jag, is trying to win over Francine.. his jealousy is out of control. He doesn't like seeing Jag all over Francine. But it's already too late, Francine's wolf recognizes Jag as her mate too. So now that Mitchell's wolf is waking up and finally realizing that Francine is his mate, is it already too late? Of course not! Usually Amber and I complain when one guy doesn't get the girl but we don't have too this time. It's awesome!

I really loved this book. There were some super hooottt moments. I also liked seeing all of the characters from Delicate Freakn' Flower. I also liked the Mitchell didn't just fall right into the polyamorous lifestyle. This was a great book from Eve and she totally opened my eyes!

Angel's Desire (The Fallen Warriors #2)

Angel's Desire (The Fallen Warriors #2) (The Fallen Warriors #2)

In a world where angels rule over humans, twelve outcasts dare to defy expectation, warring with their angel brethren to prevent the extinction of humankind.

They are The Fallen.

Fallen angel Ethan has been outcast due to his love of humankind. In order to preserve his immortality, he must find a mate with angel blood…but the one woman he desires blames him for her father’s death. As a teenager, Tayla had a fierce crush on Ethan, her angel father’s best friend. She was humiliated when he rejected her, claiming she was too young for him. Her love turned to hate when he failed to save her father from being killed by the other angels.

Battle looms on the horizon, and Ethan can no longer afford to waste time. He must claim Tayla as his…but convincing her she’s his mate won’t be so easy.

Angel's Desire, a 32,000 word novella, is Book 2 in The Fallen Warriors Series.

 My Thoughts

Vampires, Witches and Werewolves watch out there is a new supernatural out who is just as sexy and oozes that alpha male like quality, and oh yeah they have sexy sexy black wings!!!

I am talking about Angels, Rosalie Larios Fallen Angels to be exact! I read and loved the first book For Love of an Angel with Eva and Michael and Angels Desire with Ethan and Tayla was just as amazing!! Ethan is just sex on legs and him and Tayla throw off enough sexual tension that will leave you panting. Of coarse their love isn't an easy task, there are many things in their way. One thing Tayla blames Ethan for her fathers death, another thing Tayla tried to seduce Ethan when she was only  16 and Ethan rejected her. But thank goodness Ethan doesn't give up that easily.

I loved how we switched up characters but the story with Angels trying to take over the world still kept going, we are getting further in that story line but we get most of the focus on Ethan and Tayla. Both series I have read from Rosalie are just pure awesomeness. She brings a lot of uniqueness and ventures out of the normalness a lot of books have. We also get new supernaturals with different abilities.. Oh and some total book porn!!lol. She also creates these whole new worlds to totally divulge in. She has easily became one of my must read authors, I can always count on an amazing story and some hot hot sex!!!

Reader Behind the Author: Natasha Larry

 Reader Behind the Author with
Natasha Larry Author of:

First the interview then we can learn more about Natasha and her books

A lot of times in books the girl has to choose between 2 guys, is there a book that you totally did not agree with her choice. Tell us who, and why.
It always bothered me that Jean Grey chose Cyclops over Wolverine. LoL. I mean, Cyclops has to be the most boring superhero in the Marvel Universe, and well, Wolverine is just really hot.

Where do you get your books from, buy them (where from), library, or somewhere else?
I get the majority of my books from Books-A-Million and the library.

What is the last book you read that you totally fell in love with?
Burned by Ellen Hopkins. The author swept me away on a journey of discovery. I’m hooked on her junk now. =)

If you could meet an author alive or dead who would it be and what would you say?
Frank Miller. I don’t think I’d be able to speak. I would probably just stare at him slack-jawed and drool all over myself. So not cool.

If you could go on a girls night out with any 5 book characters who would you pick and why?
Katniss, Anita Blake, Harley Quinn, and Rogue and…. Blair Nolan ;)

A book world you would love to live in?
The Hunger Games… no idea why.

You have no books at all to read and you really want to read, what book are you going to grab from your stash and do a reread?
Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One.

Is there a book you think is amazing, yet not a lot of other people do or it’s just not very popular. (if so tell us about it)
I really liked Bound by Kira Saito. It’s about a voodoo queen and the author made her hot, which I’ve never seen done. It is also authentic which impressed me. I think it’s going to do very well.

What is the first book you fell in love with?
Superfudge by Judy Blume.

Your bookshelf is on fire and you can only take what you can carry, what are you grabbing?
Oh, God… really? All of my Ellen Hopkins, all of my Frank Miller, Watchmen by Alan Moore, anything by Alexander Hammond. Wait, I should probably grab my kid as well ;)

Your best friend asked you for a book recommendation, what book would you pick for them?
Crank by Ellen Hopkins.

A book that made you cry?
To Kill a Mockingbird.

What book are you currently reading?
Right now I am finishing up The Darkest Night series from DC comics.

If you could trade places for the day with any book character who would you pick?
Well, if I could leave behind the narcissism and self-loathing,
I would probably choose
Batman. I like the idea of being unbeatable.

You have to fight in an epic battle to save the world, what 5 characters are you picking?
Batman, Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan, Superman and, I shouldn’t pick one of my own characters but I love him, Matt Carter.

How many books do you own?
Heh, I have no idea actually. I have nine-hundred books on my kindle alone.

Favorite book cover?
Catching Fire in the Hunger Games series.

Where is your favorite reading spot?
I like going to Big Spring Park to read.

Jasmine looked at me first, and despite her hard face, I knew she was checking me for injury, just as I'd done for her.  It was hard to believe we'd once been enemies.
Satisfied I was okay, she then glanced at the dead woman before meeting my gaze. "Well," Jasmine said, relaxing slightly, "at least you don't have to go to Ohio anymore.
