From Goodreads
Half-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for a millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Taeg’s family in his quest for revenge.

Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she’s immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it—and any others who get in her way.
Maya is Taeg’s best hope for uncovering the sword.
Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part? She might be falling in love with one, too.

~My Thoughts~

This 2nd book was just as awesome if not more awesome then the first book. I love how so far we are getting a different brother in each book. They are part demons who are not looking for love but they seem to find it..

Taeg and Maya, I think are going to be my favorite couple no matter how many books come out. Even in the first book I really liked him. And I think Rosalie found him a perfect match. Maya is stronger then most humans and she totally can keep Taeg on his toes. She was pretty bad ass and it was fun to see how his ability had no affect on her. I loved watching their relationship grow. Maya being a demon slayer, Taeg being a half demon it was not an easy thing to do. Neither wanted it, but their attraction and affection totally won out. And thank goodness!!

If you are a paranormal romance lover like myself you are going to want to check out this series! There is love, some hot sexy scenes, lots of mystery and well its awesome! I totally recommend it!!

Teaser Time:

Review by Amber I

The world is changing. Once, Witch Song controlled everything from the winds to the shifting of the seasons--but not anymore. All the Witches are gone, taken captive by a traitor. All but Brusenna. As the echo of their songs fade, the traitor grows stronger. Now she is coming for Brusenna. Her guardian has sworn to protect her, but even he can't stop the Dark Witch. Somehow, Brusenna has to succeed where every other Witch has failed. Find the traitor. Fight her. Defeat her. Because if Brusenna doesn't, there won't be anything left to save.

~My Thoughts~

What an amazing original story. I loved it. I read the book in one sitting. We are taken on a magical journey through a tough world. Senna started off a weak and scared girl, but ended up growing into one bad ass women in the end.

Witch Song is a crazy original book about witches ,never before have I read a book about witches like this one. The journey Senna goes on is not easy even for the most experienced witch and yet a girl who everyone considers weak and untrained sets out to save all the witches.

I don't want to give up much of the story because that's most of the fun of Its an awesome page turning book about a girl who starts off a weak witch losing everyone she loves growing into something amazing. She has a very hard hard journey where we meet a lot of amazing characters. Its never easy but she keeps pushing on. Its magical action packed heart breaking and unique, can't wait to read more!

Bound by Blood

Review by Amber I

 From Goodreads
It’s an Immortal War...

Vampires and werewolves have been blood enemies for centuries, but now a new threat is
rising...demons are escaping from hell and those demons are intent on wiping out both the vamps and the werewolves.

When you have no one to trust...

In order to stop the demons, pureblood vampire princess Morgan LaBeaux agrees to the treaty offered by werewolf alpha Jace Vaughn. She'll mate with him, share her blood with him...and in return, the wolves will aid the vampires in this battle.

The enemy of my enemy is my husband...

But Morgan doesn’t realize just how dangerous the wolves can truly be. Jace has been waiting years to claim her. He’s set a trap for his princess, and now that he has her, Jace doesn’t plan to let her go. He’ll send the demons back to hell, and he’ll keep his vampiress—forever.

The blood binds all.

This book was amazing. Jace and Morgans chemistry was something I haven't seen in a long time. It was intense and sexy and I just could not get enough of it. I started it at like 1am and couldn't stop until I finished it. I could not get enough of it.

There is no love building its just there. And you are totally not missing a thing, these two are extremely hot and everything you need. From the moment she walked in and they shared their first kiss I knew it was going to be an intense relationship. The story itself is full of danger and action and you don't know who you can trust. Did I mention how hot these two are together?lol

This is my first read by Cynthia Eden and I am so checking out more as fast as I can! Yes this book was that good.

Daughter of Lust Review

Daughter of Lust (For the Love of Evil Book One)
by Ann Mayburn

From Goodreads:

Belal, High Prince of Hell and Keeper of the Deadly Sin Sloth, is expanding his power in the world of the 1800s by trafficking opium. He revels in the results, and as sloth begins to overtake the mortal realm, all of Hell suffers. The balance of power in Hell, as well as the fate of the Universe, will be decided by a half-demon peasant girl.

Natalia Shura, the daughter of Asmodeus, High Prince of Hell and Keeper of the Deadly Sin Lust, is unaware of the nature of her birth. When her demonic side begins to awaken, her world becomes dominated by dark passions and deadly craving, and Natalia believes she is losing her mind. But Natalia's love has been foretold as the only thing that can stop Belal and his allies, and they will do anything to prevent her ascension.

Facing assassins, avenging angels, Hell's deadly politics —and her real father — Natalia must accept the love of more than one man and embrace her demonic heritage as a Princess of Lust. If she doesn't, all that she loves will be destroyed, and Heaven and Hell will plunge into Chaos.

My Thoughts
This book was sexy from the first chapter. I love when you get an awesome storyline and some hot, sexy, and steamy scenes. It's the best of both worlds.

Natalia is a half demon princess but she has no idea until one day when she is searching for the man she thinks is her father in a local gambling den. While she's there she is accosted and she pulls a knife on the man who attacks her. When this happens she feels a stirring that excites and terrifies her.

From there things escalate pretty quickly. A protector that her truth father, a high prince of hell, comes to her hometown and tries to help her understand what's happening to her. At first he is disguised as someone from her town but things come to light pretty quickly. Natalia learns about powers she has, powers that are stirred by her more carnal desires.

This is seriously an adult book. It's super sexy and there are quite a few super hot sex scenes. I recommend all the ladies and gents read it. It's a great story and I can't wait to read the next in the series. I'm also going to be checking out more of Ann's books.

Reader Interview-Rachel from The~Rest~Is~Still~Unwritten

Today's Amazing Reader being interviewed is
Rachel from

Alternative Name

And Now

First sex scene you remember reading?

~ I don’t remember what the book was called, but I remember it was a historical romance. This was a few years ago and I’d only just started to get into reading. I’d read mostly YA and this was one of the first adult books I’d picked up. I didn’t even know there could be sex in books....but let me tell you....I sure knew after that book ;)

A go to author when you are looking for some hot sex scenes?
Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 9)

~ I haven’t read that many erotic authors, seeing as I read a lot of YA, which let’s face YA, but I love anything by Gena Showalter, J.R Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Larissa Ione. Anything these gals write is golden and is guaranteed to get my blood pumping.

A book you read recently that you literally wanted a fan or an ice pack to cool you down from?

~Honestly, nothing I can really think of right now L I’ve been reading a lot of YA lately and all the PNR book’s I’ve read lately haven’t blown me away.

What are some of the most memorable sex scenes you've read?
A Witch's Beauty

~ I loved the sex scene in Joey W. Hills A Witch’s Beauty were David and Mena are first intimate. It’s Mena’s first time and it’s such a great moment between the two, plus, I think it was pretty hot. Oh, and the scene in A Darkest Passion by Gena Showalter where Aeron has sex with Olivia for the first time. Again she’s losing her virginity, he’s taking her from behind and she’s supposed to be an angel. Granted she’s fallen, but angel, fallen or otherwise should act like that.

One of your favourite couples to read about when they are getting it on?

~Zsadist and Bella from Lover Awakened, Mena and David from A Witch’s Beauty, Sabin and Qwen from The Darkest Whisper, Aeron and Olivia from The Darkest Passion, Vishous and Jane from Lover Unbound...and a few more J

One of the most shocking sex scene moments (did that just happen moments) you've read?

~ I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I hate any sex scenes where a man goes down on a woman and then kisses her afterwards. It’s the whole; “she can taste herself on him” that always grosses me out and makes me wonder why that turns people on?

Amber- hahaha oh I so so so so agree!!

When reading paranormal books, what is the weirdest thing that turned you on?
A Mermaid's Kiss (Berkley Sensation)

~ It was in another Joey W Hill book, A Mermaids Kiss. The hero and heroine have sex when he’s in human form and she’s in mermaid form. I remember thinking, “Wow, how can anyone normal be thinking this is hot when technically she’s still half fish right now?

Out of the other characters in a book (not the main guy/girl) who really gets your blood boiling?

~Hmmm, do you mean in general or specifically? In general, I guess I always tend to go for the sexy side characters, the ones who just ooze sex and you want to know more about them. The ones whose little quips and comments are so scandalous and tantalizing. Specifically, I have a thing for Adrian in Richelle Mead’s VA and William from Gena Showalter’s Lords of The Underworld. Love those guys!

One sex scene you wish you could have been the main character in.

~Hmmm, I don’t know off the top of my head. Any with the sexy book men I’m crushing on at the moment I guess, lol.

Worst sex scene you ever read.

~Can’t think of any in particular, but any where the writing is bad. Its one thing to write in a crude way, but when the actual writing and the words are bad, then it takes away from the actual act of sex to me.

Sex scene that embarrassed you.

~ Ick, I started reading a book once where a father slept with his daughter. That was just wrong on so many levels....sure got rid of that book in a hurry. I don’t like anything like all.....and can’t stomach the rest of a book after that kind of scene.

Sex that should have never happened.

~Ditto to above answer ^^^^

Do you think sex scenes in a specific book were unrealistic?

~This isn’t exactly the same thing, but I think any sex scene where the main characters have sex without knowing one another is unrealistic. I mean, hello? “Sure, I don’t know you, I barely know your name, and I’ve only met you once, maybe twice in my life for a few short moments, but what the hell....lets jump into bed together and have crazy, passionate sex.” Yeah. I’m sorry, but that’s just not realistic to me.

If you could go to a strip club and see any book characters strip who would you pick?
Acheron (Dark-Hunter, Book 12)

~Oooh, oooh. I know this one, I know this one. I was thinking about it the other day when I read someone else’s answer.....Acheron Parthenopaeus! What I wouldn’t give to see Ash from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter strip. *sigh* But only in my dreams I guess *wink*

Thanks so much Rachel! I loved loved your answers, it was tempting to put my thoughts under lots of them but I thought I should wait for the comments!lol. And everyone should go check her out!!
