Happy Birthday Harry!

Sunday, July 31, 2011

Today is Harry's birthday and we are super excited. So we wanted to do a small ode to Harry.

Harry at the tender age of 11. He didn't even know what he was getting himself into by going to Hogwarts. He just thought he was getting rid of his horrible home life. He had know idea he'd be one of the greatest wizards of all time.

Here's Harry a few years older. He's already gone through trials and tribulations. He knows what's up. He's already had several run in's with Voldemort.

Harry at the end. About to take Voldemort down. Not literally, but you get what I'm saying. He's one of the best wizards of all time. He's so grown from the little Harry we first knew. It's so sad that the books and movies are over. So we will continue on the legacy with our children and our little nieces and nephews. We will continue on the love by having yearly celebrations of Harry's birthday and re-reading the books like it was the first time. We'll watch the movies and have wizard parties dedicated in his honor.

When Darcy’s outing takes a turn for the worst and tests her to the point of breaking, she struggles to maintain her humanity. Where loyalty and pack mean everything, she surrenders to the inevitable and only an act of complete trust can touch her. When all is said and done, with memories flooding her mind, Darcy holds tightly to the only thing that makes sense – it was all a dream. Or was it?

My Review:

My only complaint, that it ended too fast. In just a short novella we got everything you would want from a full length novel. This story was pretty intense from the beginning and had you glued to it the whole way through.

I really hope Belinda writes more about these wolves. Darcy was a very strong character and I instantly loved her when she put herself before Jasmine. Then there is also Mason, who I am dying to get to know. (So Bel if you read this pretty please write more with these characters.)

This is a perfect book for anyone who loves reading Urban Fantasy.

Author Bio:
A homesick Aussie living amongst the cactus and mountains of Arizona, Belinda Boring is a self proclaimed addict of romance and all things swoon worthy. When she's not devouring her latest read, you can find her celebrating her passion for book on her blog The Bookish Snob.

With all that excitement, it wasn't long before she began writing, pouring her imagination and creativity into the stories she dreams. Whether urban fantasy, paranormal romance or romance in general, Belinda strives to share great plots with heart and characters that you can't help but connect with. Of course, she wouldn't be Belinda without adding heroes she hopes will curl your toes.

Surrounded by a supportive cast of family, friends and the man she gives her heart and soul to, Belinda is living the good life. Happy reading!

The Saints Go Dying by Erik Hanberg

If you could meet an author alive or dead who would it be and what would you say?
Wow this is a hard question. I think I would go with Edgar Allen Poe. I would like just to talk to him and see what made him tick and ask him where the Raven came from it is my most favorite poem.

Well, this will sound silly but the first books I fell in love with was V.C. Andrews books and Sweet Valley High Books

Your bookshelf is on fire and you can only take what you can carry, what are you grabbing?

Any Stephen King, or Dean Kootnz books I may have on hand

Your best friend asked you for a book recommendation, what book would you pick for them?
It would all depend on what they actually like. My daughter was telling me she likes the same books I like so I recommended Stephen King and Dean Kootnz, Agatha Christie

The Cambridge List What book are you currently reading?
I am actually reading 2 books: The Cambridge List by Robert Clear and Coffee at Little Angels by Nadine Rose Larrer

If you could trade places for the day with any book character who would you pick?
I would have to say any detective that I have read, I have always wanted to work in law enforcement guess that’s why I like the true crime, mystery, thriller, suspense
