From Goodreads:

Red Fox (Experiment in Terror, #2)With Book Two of the Experiment in Terror Series, Perry Palomino and Dex Foray trade in the stormy Oregon coast for the unforgiving deserts of New Mexico.

In the forgotten town of Red Fox, a Navajo couple is tortured by things unseen and by motives unknown. Wild animals slink through their house in the dark, a barrage of stones pound their roof nightly, and mutilated sheep carcasses are turning up on their property. Armed with a camera and just enough to go on, Perry and Dex travel to the desolate locale, hoping to film the supernatural occurrences and add credibility to their flailing webcast. Only their show has a lot more working against them than just growing pains. Tested by dubious ranch hands, a ghost from Dex’s past, and shapeshifting deception, the amateur ghost hunters must learn to trust each other in order to fight the most ancient of myths…or die trying.

My Thoughts:

This is another great book in this series. Perry and Dex are paired together again after a dismal promo of their first episode. This time they're heading to New Mexico because of a possible haunting at a ranch there.

Again Perry's parents aren't thrilled with her decision. Not to mention, she's hiding a huge secret from them. However, Perry is an adult and there's really nothing they can do to stop her from going. So it's off to New Mexico.

Dex is still as sexy and mysterious as ever. He's also a bit more on edge. He and Perry do get a bit closer in this book but that's to be expected when they're staying at the ranch as a married couple. You get to learn a lot more about both of them in this book. I think that this is a good second book in the series, you can really see things build and dynamics change in this book.

There are some definite creepy things in this book. I was scared throughout at least half of it. I couldn't read it at night. Karina has a way of writing that just makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

Perry and Dex are in over their heads on this one. Because what are they supposed to do when the ghosts that are haunting the ranch aren't really ghosts at all?
