This weeks AwesomeSauce Reader Being Interviewed is
*And Now for the Interview*
Where do you get your books from, buy them (where from), library, or somewhere else?
Amazon, B&N, The Book Depository, Library..haha. but mostly from Amazon. So many long moons ago I used to go to the library. My thing is I only buy books if I absolutely love the series because sadly I am so very poor and I can barely afford the books I do buy. But I mostly borrow from fellow bloggers who live close to me, I have also been winning a lot of books this year(what a lucky year for me) or some of these review copies are keeping me quite busy. I occasionally go to the library, but Amazon is my #1. I love Amazon. I would marry Amazon. But to answer your question my books comes from many different places.
What is the last book you read that you totally fell in love with?
Easy because I just read it week last week. And that would be, The Pledge, Oh, my god. The Pledge by Kimberly Derting just blew me away. I am fairly new to the dystopian genre and I am happy to discover new dystopians I can fall in love with, but this book was so amazing I was jumping up and down with excitement anticipating the sequel which probably won't even be out November 2013. ARRRGHHHH! Me and reading these books early. Mariya don't do this to yourself, (read ARCS) or you'll just go crazy with long wait. Oooohhhh. but I just can't help it =DDD
If you could meet an author alive or dead who would it be and what would you say?
I would totally say Richelle Mead but I met her, my dream came true. haha. But seriously there are a few more I need to meet before I die. I am a huge urban fantasy fan as you may know and there are a few authors from that genre that I would just die to meet and there is this one author I would scream for!!! You may know her for her Fever books, Karen Marie Moning. I worship the ground she walks on!!!! HAHAHAHA. I know. I'm crazy! I don't know what I'd say to her, but I think I would go on and on and on how hot JZB is. LOL But seriously I would love to discuss all of her work since I have loved everything she has ever written and that doesn't happen often where I love all books an author has written. I envy those who went to that Shadowfever release party.
If you could go on a girls night out with any 5 book characters who would you pick and why?
Ooohhhh. I know! I know. Cat from Night Huntress, Merit from Chicagoland Vampires, Kate from Kate Daniels, Rose from Vampire Academy, and Alex from Alex Craft. Why? Because they're all crazy like me...haha. just kidding. I love all of these girls and I find them fun and loving and all of them I think I thought one time or another I would love to get to know that girl and hang out.
You have no books at all to read and you really want to read, what book are you going to grab from your stash and do a reread?
Are you serious?! The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning! Duh! And yes, every single one! I can't get enough of JZB and never will because I have Barrons Fever! Haha. I probably have many books on my shelf that I would re-read but the Fever Series would be the first I'd jump for but other considerations would be all the Night Huntress Books by Jeaniene Frost. Passion Unleashed and Sin Undone by Larissa Ione, all of the Chicagoland Vampire books by Chloe Neill and for my YA stash there is all of the Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead and all of the Twilight books by Stephanie Meyers.
Is there a book you think is amazing, yet not a lot of other people do or its just not very popular. (if so tell us about it)
I really feel like the Disillusionist Trilogy by Carolyn Crane isn't. To tell you the truth I was recommended them by a Goodreads friend and I am so happy I got recommended them because I probably would have missed sight of the pure awesomeness of them. I mean this is an urban fantasy with no paranormal creature involved! I was like no way when I heard that..haha. Basically these characters have these really cool mind powers, like X-men, but it is way cooler than I make it sounds.
What is the first book you fell in love with?
That would be Twilight by Stephanie Meyer and without it I would not be with you today. Long story short I never thought I liked reading. I mean seriously did not and maybe that is the school's fault! They made me read all that boring stuff in school. Haha. Twilight movies came out and watched, loved and decided would like to try the books. Shocked the hell outta my family. I loved the books and wanted to look for more books like it or just find more book series that I like as much as I liked Twilight. I can express how thankful I am to Stephanie Meyer for opening the doors to reading for me. I liked Twilight for the romance story than the vampire sparkle stuff though, but I was so into it that I needed more of this feeling of getting so into a book.
A book that made you cry?
Oh, god. There are several which I never though possible. I have read four books that made me cry book I will name the two that made me embarrassed to read books like this is public. As you all know Hard Bitten by Chloe Neill made people insane for the ending. I will tell you that I so should not have read this in public. Damn. I don't want to spoil it for what happens for those who haven't read it, but tears were running down my cheeks like crazy I couldn't stop no matter how much I wiped them with my sleeve. I hate to run to the bathroom to make sure no one seem me. ARRRGHHH! So embarrassing. I couldn't read a book for a week because I was so emotionally depressed from this book. Onto Book number 2. Sin Undone by Larissa Ione. It really wasn't as bad compared to Hard Bitten but you just love characters so much that you can't help but present a little tear action for them. The heroine, Sin cried and I cried with her.
What book are you anxiously waiting to read?
There are quite a few books I am anxiously awaiting. Deadly Descendant by Jenna Black, Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer, The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting, Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost, The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams, Deep Drink by Chloe Neill and Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Of course there's more, but these are the ones I'm really really really excited about and can't stop thinking about.
