A Little Bit About Lori~

"Some girls love shoes...I love books! I have a love for all creatures of the night...especially vampires! Paranormal Romance is my passion but I also love Erotica, Gothic/Historical Romance, Steampunk, Urban Fantasy and some paranormal YA. If there's a sexy Alpha hero, a strong heroine and a great love story I'll read it!"

And Now for the Interview

A lot of times in books the girl has to choose between 2 guys, is there a book that you totally did not agree with her choice. Tell us who, and why.

I might get slack for this but I'm going to have to say Twilight. While I do like Edward and am a die hard fan of vampires, I think Jacob would have been a better and safer match for Bella! **ducks incoming objects!**

Where do you get your books from, buy them (where from), library, or somewhere else?
I purchase most of my books at bookstores. Those that aren't purchased are from NetGalley, contests I've won on blogs (I've been really lucky lately) or are generously provided by authors and publishers for review, now that I have my own blog.

My Life as A White Trash Zombie What is the last book you read that you totally fell in love with?

My Life As A White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland...it's my first zombie book and I totally loved it; it was both gross and hilarious!

If you could go on a girls night out with any 5 book characters who would you pick and why?

I'm assuming I have to choose 5 women for this one...LOL Here are the awesome chicks I'd like to hang out with: Cat Crawford (Night Huntress Series), Rachel Morgan and Ivy Tamwood (The Hollows Series), MacKayla Lane (Fever Series) and Elena Devereaux (Guild Hunter Series)...these girls are fiesty, hold their own and would surely make my girls night out a night to remember!

Black Dagger Brotherhood, boxed set: Dark Lover, Lover Eternal, Lover Awakened, Lover Unbound, Lover Revealed, Lover EnshrinedA book world you would love to live in?

The Black Dagger Brotherhood world...need I say more?

You have no books at all to read and you really want to read, what book are you going to grab from your stash and do a reread?

The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward...those books will never get old to me, they have it all: Alpha heroes, action, suspense, heartache and romance.

Is there a book you think is amazing, yet not a lot of other people do or its just not very popular. (if so tell us about it)
The Rest Falls Away (Gardella Vampire Chronicles Book 1)
It's not a particular book but a series: Colleen Gleason's Gardella Vampire Chronicles, it's a historical paranormal romance that I'd characterize as Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Jane Austen...I read the entire series in about a week!

What is the first book you fell in love with?

For me it was Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice, this book really sparked my love for vampire books!

Your bookshelf is on fire and you can only take what you can carry, what are you grabbing?

My Nook, it has more books on it than I can carry in a time of crisis!

Your best friend asked you for a book recommendation, what book would you pick for them?
Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 1)
I'd definitely have to say Dark Lover by J.R. Ward, I haven't heard one negative thing from anyone that I've recommended this book series to, everyone in my circle seems to love it as much as I do!

A book that made you cry?

Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward. Z's story was an emotional roller coaster that had me reaching for the tissue box on more than one ocassion...I think it's the first book that has had that affect on me.

What book are you anxiously waiting to read?
Jacob (The Nightwalkers, Book 1)
I'm really anxious to read Jacquelyn Frank's next release in the Nightwalkers series, Adam. I love this series and have been patiently waiting for the release of this book...but can now say I've just about run out of patience!

What book are you currently reading?

I currently have my nose in book #2 of the Dark Ink Chronicles by Elle Jasper, Everdark.

If you could trade places for the day with any book character who would you pick?

Elena from the Guild Hunter series, to be able to fly and just to touch Raphael's wings for just one day *sigh* now that would be Heaven!

You have to fight in an epic battle to save the world, what 5 characters are you picking?

Barrons (Fever), Zsadist (BDB), Eric Northman (Sookie Stackhouse), Wraith (Demonica) and Lachlain MacRieve (IAD)...I think I have a fighting chance with these guys behind me.

Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, Book 1) Favorite book cover?

Jeaniene Frost's Halfway to the Grave, love that cover and confess I bought the book based on that factor alone!

If you could pair up 2 characters from different books who would you pair up?

I'd like to pair Barrons (Fever Series) up with Regin (Immortals After Dark) and see how he fairs with that fiesty Valkyrie, she's no Rainbow Girl!

Where is your favorite reading spot?

My bedroom is my favorite reading spot. It's my reading sanctuary; it holds my book collection and is a place where I can shut the outside world away and step into a new and exciting world through my favorite authors' pages.
