The Devil To Pay (Second Chances)

From Goodreads:

The Devil To Pay (Second Chances) by Maria Zanini

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions and bad tequila. Shannon McKee finds herself at the end of her rope, and she offers her soul to whoever can save her first.

Unfortunately, she sends that request to both agencies. Shannon's plea is answered immediately by two men who couldn't be more different from one another. Yet they share a bond and an affection for the stubborn Miss McKee that even they don't understand.

When Heaven and Hell demand their payment, Shannon has no choice but to submit. No matter who gets her soul, she's not getting out of this alive.

This is the first book of the Second Chances series. Forget everything you thought you knew about Heaven and Hell. You ain't seen nothin' yet

My Thoughts

I have to be honest here. The story line is there. It has the possibility to be a good series. I will read the next book. I want to see what happens. With that being said, I wanted to hit the main character, Shannon. I'm sorry but she was the most fickle person. She fell into bed with two different guys within moments of meeting each of them. Very hot sex scenes though. Lol. But seriously, who does that kind of stuff? Not to mention, she's supposedly a professor? You would think that she would be a rational person but she makes snap decisions and doesn't think about what she's doing at all. At least that's how it seems. She kinda redeems herself for me towards the end of the book. She becomes a shade to help Liam. Which is redeemable in my book. Like I said, I'm going to read the next one because I want to know what happens, the hot sex scenes, and the fact that she kinda makes up for her idiocy.

  1. I was into reading this... Until I read about Shannon being fickle, I can't stand characters like that! I like warm characters that I can relate to, such a pity.
