In times of stress Jillian Descharme has always found calm in her dream of a great white wolf with haunting blue eyes. But she is startled when the visions return and this time seem so real. Late at night he comes to her, speaks to her, touches her. It's almost as if he's alive...

Thirty years ago James Macleod lost his wife and unborn child to a killer bent on destroying the Changelings. Though he longed for death, his animal instinct fought for survival and James has been a wolf ever since. Yet now a woman has reawakened the man in him, taming wild instincts but arousing still wilder needs. With his ancient enemy hunting the legendary white wolf, James must fight for new life, new hope, new love.

This was a great read. It was nice it being the 2nd book and already knowing so much about the changeling life and could focus on the story.

I loved Jillian's connection to the wolf. Even when she just thought it was an animal, you could really feel her bond and understand where it was coming from. Even though she had a horrible past, she came out of it amazingly and didn't let it ruin her future. She mentions it and talks about it, but she doesn't dwell over it.

James having been a wolf for 30 years after running off after that horrible night in his past is really struggling to get back to human life. He and his wolf don't always agree. I really enjoyed seeing all his inner struggles and how much he started to heal.

I seriously loved all the things that went on at the vet. I had no idea I would be so interested when they are doing surgery's on a dog or birthing a cow.lol. It was all so fascinating. Even the things James was doing on the farm I was totally into.

There is a great amount of sexual tension, both characters are so easy to relate to. You can not help but to love them both. Dani really brought them to life and she made them so real to me. There is some heart ache, romance, and a book filled with lots of amazing characters. I am curious to see who is going to be next in these books. These books are definitely books to check out if you love shifters!
