Reader Behind the Author-Sex Addition!! This Month's Interviews will be all about Sex! If that makes you uncomfortable, then move on please!!

Now Let's Talk About Sex with the awesomesauciest Evelyn Lafont! And enter to win The Vampire Relationship Guide! And a special thanks to Evelyn, she rocks! I love her, she is the nicest person!! Thanks so much for always entertaining my ideas and talking with me!!!

Did you have a hard time writing a sex scene?

At first, yes. My face would get all red and I’d feel paranoid that someone was looking over my shoulder. But now…not at all.

Were you embarrassed to have family and friends read the sex scenes you wrote?

My family has always been very open about sex. When I was 12 we all used to do dirty Mad Libs together. It was completely inappropriate, but it made me much more comfortable talking about sex than I might have been otherwise. As far as friends go, I don’t think anyone who’s friends with me hasn’t had a conversation with me that’s involved a lot worse than sex as a topic, so no worries there.

A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, Book 1)A go to author when you are looking for some hot sex scenes?

Kresley Cole, specifically in the Immortals after Dark series—and especially when there’s a Scottish Lycan to be found. Yum!

Amber- I need to read this series, I haven't yet!

One of the most shocking sex scene moments (did that just happen moments) you've read?
Full Moon Rising (Riley Jensen, Guardian, Book 1)
LMAO—I think that happens at least once in every Riley Jensen book (a series by Keri Arthur) I’ve read. And that’s not a bad thing, mind you ;-)

Amber- I love this series, I have to read the last 2 books still!! But its awesome.

Out of the other characters in a book (not the main guy/girl) who really gets your blood boiling?
Real Vampires Have Curves (Glory St. Clair, Book 1)
In the Glory St. Clair series by Gerri Bartlett, the shifter bodyguard Valdez has a lot of potential as a leading man.

One sex scene you wish you could have been the main character in.

As much as I love sex scenes in romance books, none of them are as titillating as the real sex scenes I have with Hubby. I can’t say that I’d ever prefer anything over them!

If you could go to a strip club and watch any book characters take off their clothes who would you pick?

I would choose Milagro de Los Santos from Marta Acosta’s Casa Dracula series. Marta created a sexy character in Milagro, who is comfortable in her own skin in a humorous and empowering way. I’d like to see her strip because I think it would be educational and fun. I picture a burlesque, Gypsy Rose Lee kind of thing where sexy meets humor and mockery. I can’t name any men because honestly, I don’t think it’s sexy when men do a strip tease so it would actually hurt my attraction to see one of my favorite characters do one.

Evelyn Lafont is a full time writer living in Florida. Her debut paranormal romance series, The Vampire Relationship Guide, is a four-novella series that takes a satirical look at what might happen if a clueless human woman actually dated a vampire.

Book Synopsis

The Vampire Relationship Guide, Volume 1: Meeting and MatingJosie wants what she’s never been able to have—sex with a vampire. When she receives an invitation to a party thrown by one of the world’s richest vamps, she doesn’t stop to question her luck; she just jumps into her favorite stilettos and heads out to the event of a lifetime, secretly hoping that she’ll come home with a party favor in the shape of a sexy coffin dweller.
But the great undead, much to Josie’s chagrin, aren’t just pale sexbots with pointy teeth waiting to satisfy her carnal desires—they are dangerous…and sometimes cranky. With a single-minded focus on fulfilling her sole sexual longing, Josie unwittingly entrenches herself in the twisted and sometimes antagonistic world of vampire relationships with no one to guide her, but herself.

  2. I've also got the Salt n Peppa song stuck in my head now lol!
After reading a whole load of easy going YA fantasy books, my sister lent me Heart of the Dragon by Gena Showalter. I was expecting much of the same really, (I didn't bother to read the back or research it), so I had one of those 'Did that just happen moments' throughout the whole book. I'm not a prude or anything, I just wasn't expecting it... and almost the whole book was about how incredibly horny the main character was and how desperately she yearned for this non-human guy from Atlantis to take her in every way possible! I think I blushed the entire way through... My sister said, 'you ain't seen nothing yet, wait til you read the rest of the series! Oh, I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it!!

  3. HI!!Can't wait for more from your 'sex' month ;-) The biggest 'did that just happen' moment I've had is in Vulnerable by Amy Lane. Simply because I'd never read a sex scene with two men (or two men + one woman) before nor was I expecting one haha! This series introduced me to the m/m romance genre where I've read so many fantastic, sexy yet made-me cry-buckets stories so thank you, Ms Lane! :-) Also, it's not in a book or it might be but I haven't read them yet, Bill & his makers' neck-twisting scene in True Blood. 'Nuff said. I only saw it about a week ago so it's fresh in my memory. Thanks for the giveaway! jenniferduffy92@gmail.com

  4. One of the most shocking sex scene moments (did that just happen moments) you've read?

Oh, definitely have to bring up Unmasqued by Colette Gale where Philippe, the Comte, and his wife have sex over Christine's body after she just went down on his brother, Raoul.

Yeah, this got to me in both bad and goods ways. My face was like this --> O_O; the entire scene (and most of the book, too).

Thanks for the awesome giveaway, Apples! I've been wanting to read this and the interview made me laugh out loud, lawl!

  5. First of I'd like to say this is such a fun interview with really funny questions and answers. :D Made me laugh so much!

If you could go to a strip club and watch any book characters take off their clothes who would you pick?

Oh yes! Eric Northman would be the best at the moment. :D And of course Bones from The Night Huntress series. They both make me squeeeee! With their hotness and sexiness! *swooon* :DDD Imagine them in a japanese cabaret host club calling you love and princess and fawning all over you. *Squees some more* I'd pay to see them in both scenario.

  6. First off... Great interview!
Now to the question: One sex scene you wish you could have been the main character in.
I wish I could be Mac in the Fever series! I don't want to give to much away in case someone hasn't read them yet (in which case you should go start now!!), but in the last book, I'd want to be Mac after everythings settled and Jericho's back and she knows his *secret*. He does some pretty hot things when he knows she knows.

I just read Lord of the Vampires by Gena Showalter and Oh. My. God!! I wanted to be Jane Parker in ALL of the sex scenes with Nicolai!! He was a sex slave before she freed him, so as you can imagine, he KNEW what he was DOING!!!! Well, I've got to go take a cold shower now, but thanks for an awesome giveaway (and for supplying the subject matter for my dreams tonight!) 0-0

  11. Hmmm, strip club-I'd want Karen Marie Moning's Barrons to strip..without a doubt. I don't think he'd be much into dancing though-he'd probably stand there with his shirt off in his tattoos glaring at everyone regardless of what song was playing (but all I can think of is Chumbawumba's Knocked Down). It'd be sexy regardless.
    Great giveaway-Thank You!!
