From Goodreads
Half-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for a millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Taeg’s family in his quest for revenge.

Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she’s immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it—and any others who get in her way.
Maya is Taeg’s best hope for uncovering the sword.
Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part? She might be falling in love with one, too.

~My Thoughts~

This 2nd book was just as awesome if not more awesome then the first book. I love how so far we are getting a different brother in each book. They are part demons who are not looking for love but they seem to find it..

Taeg and Maya, I think are going to be my favorite couple no matter how many books come out. Even in the first book I really liked him. And I think Rosalie found him a perfect match. Maya is stronger then most humans and she totally can keep Taeg on his toes. She was pretty bad ass and it was fun to see how his ability had no affect on her. I loved watching their relationship grow. Maya being a demon slayer, Taeg being a half demon it was not an easy thing to do. Neither wanted it, but their attraction and affection totally won out. And thank goodness!!

If you are a paranormal romance lover like myself you are going to want to check out this series! There is love, some hot sexy scenes, lots of mystery and well its awesome! I totally recommend it!!

Teaser Time:
Suddenly the reason for her boots became quite clear. The women was a freakin' walking arsenal.
and one more because I thought this was funny.
Oh she is facing her death and this is her thought.
She didn't want to die wearing day-old underwear. NO

  1. This sounds like a great book, definitely adding the first one and this one on my to-read list.

  2. I enjoyed this one too. I had to laugh a little, though, when she had an orgasm from the breeze. (Not to mention the, er, backdoor loving with no lube. Ouch!)

  3. haha, I was like why are they doing that (the backdoor loving) and the breeze was very unique. I hope she writes more on these characters because I have some questions like how they are going to deal with her being a human and aging and him not.
